This track just displays the extraordinary talent of this promising artist. Hawaiian Thought$ is definitely a standout production as it begins with chopped up beats (which sounds like a stuck CD) and then you’re introduced to IMNAMEDKYRA’S freestyling which effortlessly cruises throughout the chill out track – absolutely wicked!
Heavily influenced by A TRIBE CALLED QUEST and CURREN$Y, IMNAMEDKYRA – whose real name is Akyra Hedgman – was part of a Pittsburgh-based group called THE H&T. Now residing in Atlanta, IMNAMEDKYRA is now looking to expand as a solo hip-hop artist. She’s planning to release her mixtape, The Drive very soon – so keep your eyes peeled for a review!
