Mixtape Review: The Takeoff – Spitta

The Takeoff mixtape

Upcoming hip-hop artist SPITTA has taken off with his debut mixtape, The Takeoff (excuse the pun!) Released last month, the 26-track project is all set to give those upcoming spring/summer days and nights the POW! factor with explosive and (at times) sweeter than chocolate bassline, topped off with flash lightning flow.

The Takeoff is available as a free download on Datpiff.

Mixtape Review: Dark Science: Blaccc Lotus

BLACCC LOTUS (formerly known as KING HOLLOWAY) unleashed his latest project Dark Science which displays the conscious emcee’s signature raspy delivery of  misplaced trust, life’s hardships and pursuit of happiness over semi-dense bass with sweeter than sweet tones.

#TheMustlistens: Stray Away, The Reality Part 2, Real Hip Hop

It’s only been three years since WILL INSPIRE entered the hip-hop game… and already he’s made a HUGE impact. The conscious upriser performed at SXSW 2 years straight, headlined numerous music festivals, and opened up for hip-hop heavyweight, Kendrick Lamar.

Now WILL INSPIRE took the next big step and released his first full-length project, Empty Pockets,  which features inspiring and  sit-up-and-take-note lyrics over mainly super-smooth, 90s-inspired chilled hip-hop beats. Definitely worth the attention.

#TheMustlistens: Airplane Vibe, No Soul Compromise, Boy Nice, Spot Me A Dollar, Bi-Polar, They Don’t Get It
