Last time NINA JONES appeared on NEW LEASE MUSIC, she put her spin on Prince’s 80s classic Purple Rain (before his untimely death ), which clocked up over 160,000 views on YouTube.

A year later, the 18-year-old Welsh songstress released her contemporary R&B/pop single entitled Promises. Written by award-winning singer/songwriter Darren Parry, the infectious four-minute production is about moving on from a deceitful relationship – something we all can relate to!

Upcoming Release: Purple Rain (Prince Cover) – Nina Jones

Based in Newport, South Wales, NINA JONES is the latest vocal jewel from a country which boasts a stellar musical heritage. At just 17 years old, hers is a voice which already holds the maturity and depth of singers well beyond her years.

Her new single is a cover version of  Prince’s classic Purple Rain – one of the songs that saw him become a household name in the 1980s. The Pop sensation who’s studying for her A-Levels-  is hoping her version of the song may go some way to doing the same for her with its UK release, bringing the track back to basics to showcase her superb vocals…So what do you guys think? Nina’s cover of Purple Rain is set for release on 6th July.
