Mind Kyle Letterman and distant light

KYLE LETTMAN and production duo DISTANT LIGHT have teamed up for a Summer fuelled, Garage hit, Mind, released last week.

Earlier this year, KYLE LETTMAN released his remake of Garage classic, Moving Too Fast. Daring to medal with a classic track, the results were fruitful and singer/songwriter received an incredible response across Radio and Online platforms seeing the record being supported across the BBC, Kiss and Capital networks….and it doesn’t stop there. 2015 has been quite the year for Kyle as he also opened the show at Omarion’s UK headline gig at KOKO helped by some serious online support from Pixie Lott!

Kyle isn’t the only one to have made some serious noise of late as production duo DISTANT LIGHT hit the music landscape last year with their official remix of UK RnB singer Angel’s chart-topping track Wonderful. The garage number quickly got the stamp of approval from leading tastemakers DJ EZ from Kiss 100 and BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Cameo. DISTANT LIGHT have worked their production magic on Ellie Goulding’s Beating Heart, Misha B’s Home Run and top 10 single All Cried Out by Blonde. Their recent effort Raggamuffin, was named Song of the Week here on NEW LEASE MUSIC.

It seems this is going to be one solid collaboration; so don’t miss out, have a listen to Mind.

New Music Video: I Know – Dutch ReBelle

Here’s another sizzling HOT female rapper…check out this visual to DUTCH REBELLE‘s track, I Know. The single is coming from her 14-track album, ReBelle’s Diaries.

If you’re feeling the track, watch out for more projects from this fiery emcee.

Upcoming Release: Proton – Solsine (ft. Brownie & Santego)

Featuring the haunting vocals of Brownie and rapid fire delivery of rapper Santego, SLOSINE are on the verge of releasing their forthcoming effort Proton. Out on 7th September, the four-and-a-half minute production displays glacial soundscapes setting the backdrop for a noxious mix of garage basslines.

Formed in late 2014, the London-based duo dropped their first single Deeper  in March 2015. The second single Time quickly followed in May, gaining support from DJs Mike Delinquent (Kiss), Charlie Tee, TS7 (Kiss Fresh) and DJ Woody (Capital Extra) as well as being featured on numerous blogs including EDM.com, Chicago EDM and Insomniac.

Likened to the British electronic producers, Chase & Status, they have performed with NME, Kiss FM, reached No1 on The Hype Machine and remixed for artists including Florence And The Machine under different aliases.

To add to their short but impressive CV, the up and coming producers developed a close-knit group of featured artists and have collectively released with Island Records, Defected and Stealth as well as penning songs for Rudimental’s recent album and supported Laura Mvula and Ella Eyre.

In the last year they have performed at top London venues including Proud, 93 Feet East, The Stillery, Kensington Roof Gardens and South London’s answer to carnival, Brixton Splash.

After supporting acts such as The Smiths, Scroobious Pip and Russell Lissack (Bloc Party) and with a return visit to Ibiza Rocks this summer, 2015 is shaping up to be an exciting year for these beatmasters.

New Track! The Becoming – ICIE

The Becoming is the latest record from North London rapper ICIE, and comes off his brand new EP, The Phoenix.
The four-and-a-half production documents many struggles and dichotomies of masculinity that men must journey through in today’s society while accompanied by a shuddering beat by Johnny Juliano.
It seeks to celebrate the men trying their best to inhabit every role required of them, while serving as an open book for women to better understand their partners.
This is the lead single from the EP, and is out now on all digital platforms.

Upcoming Release: Release Me – The Phantom Sound

THE PHANTOM SOUND are ready to drop their latest effort, Release Me which is the 2nd single from their self-titled debut album out in October.

Clem Burke, drummer of Blondie, plays on several of the tracks and Pierre DeReeder, bass player from Rilo Kiley also contributes, among other talented musicians.
