Star Song: Rockstar Life (Acoustic Version) – The Chancery Lane

Today’s song is Rockstar by British act THE CHANCERY LANE. The track is coming from their latest EP, The Next Station Is.

When South Londoner Yemi McEwen met Jamaican-born Kevin Wynter through a now not-so-mutual friend (well, that’s what it says in the bio!) they never looked back!

There’s a reason why they bumped into each other as RockStar Life displays the unbelievable talent that these two guys possess. Go on, and have a listen for yourself! If you’re liking this track, head over to their website, where you can listen to their tracks and download their latest EP!

Star Song: Catch Up – D.O.C (produced by TW$)

docTW$

Today’s song is Catch Up by New York hip-hop upstart D.O.C.

The StreetRoc recruit – whose real name is Devon Riley – grew up listening to hip-hip greats such as TUPAC, BUSTA RHYMES, JAY-Z and METHOD MAN. But this young rapper has his own style and flow – just listen to the hip-hop/funk Catch Up.

As for the producers – TW$ – they may be new to the game, but they are masters of bringing hip-hop to a whole new level with their incomparable productions. TW$ has worked with other on-point rappers, including KING DICE O and DICE CANON.

Have a blast at Catch Up. If you’re feeling this track, you can visit TW$ SoundCloud page to check out more of their masterpieces. Also visit D.O.C SoundCloud page – as there’s more on-point tracks to follow….

Star song: 1982 –El Born

el born 1982

Today’s song is 1982 the, debut single from British alternative rock band, EL BORN.

Since forming in May of this year, the London-based act is already making waves; they’ve done back-to-back live performances across London and they were also featured on BBC Sessions in June.

It comes to no surprise that these guys generated interest in no time, as 1982 is simply a pleasant production, with effortlessly cool but gutsy vocals that instantly grabs your attention. Since its release in May, 1982 reached number 19 in the iTunes chart. It was also featured on ITV’s hit drama Monroe and coldplay.com.

Go on, have a listen to 1982, as this song really deserves your undivided attention. Like me, if you’re a fan after listening to 1982, head over to their website, where you can get to know this talented band.

Star Song: Forever Strange – Madalena Alberto

Madalena Alberto

Today’s song is the stunning Forever Strange, the new single by MADALENA ALBERTO.

Portuguese -born MADALENA ALBERTO  moved to London, where she developed a fruitful career in the musical theatre. She received raving reviews for portraying Fantine in the acclaimed 25th Anniversary production of Les Miserables.

MADALENA ALBERTO is also a singer/songwriter and has generated respect from musicians on the local music scene, as well as gaining a huge fan base. Well it comes to no surprise – when you listen to Forever Strange, it won’t be hard to figure out why she’s so respected. Recorded at Songreel Studios in London, this untampered production shows off the songstress simply-breathless vocals, which turns all gutsy towards the end. Absolutely stunning.

If you’ve fallen in love with Forever Strange, you can go over to her Spotify page and listen to her other simply magical songs.

This track features some crazy cuts from JANET JACKSON’s 80’s hit Let’s Wait Awhile. To top it off, you get to hear both of these guys’ smooth, bounce-to-the-beat-flow. They make it look so easy! Check it out! If you’re liking this track, you can head over to DICE CANNON‘s SoundCloud page where you can check out a collection of his tracks.
