Today’s song is Positive Change by British indie rocker BOBB SHAW. The single is coming from the EP Stars Will Fall, released in June.

Stars Will Fall has made quite an impact, as the first single from the EP, Whiskey was aired on BBC Introducing Leeds – just  a few hours of its release! Days later, he was approached by the producer of The Voice UK to attend an audition.

No doubt his fruitful journey is set to continue with  Positive Change. This laid-back single, which is topped off by this guy’s soothing  and slightly husky vocals, is perfect  for relaxing on a hot summer’s day.

The Canadian rapper – whose real name is Jonathan Dohnahue – has been rapping since the age of 14. Now the twenty-something year old is more than ready to take his talents to the studio. What’s the result? Dark Poetry. This sinister but beat-swinging track deserves a moment of your time, as it is a testament that this hip-hop upstarter is a very worthy rapper. Go on, have a listen.

Star Song: Warmth Of The Sun – Plainview

Today’s song is Warmth Of The Sun by British three-piece post-rock band PLAINVIEW. The single is coming from their latest EP Years From Now released in July.

The guys behind from the band – Darren Leadsom (vocals and guitar), Marc Nellis (bass and backing vocals) and Tim Lowe (drums) – have really something special as they created a perfect infusion of Americana and panoramic rock. Since bringing their signature sound to the music scene in 2012, the soft rockers from Lancaster have been shortlisted twice for Fresh On The Net’s Listening Post, a site for UK independent artists, run by Tom Robinson from BBC 6 Music.

Have a blast at Warmth Of The Sun. This feel-good production generates a pleasantly warm feeling to the soul. The perfect summer song.
