SEEJAY100 is quickly growing into one of the scenes’ secret weapon, thanks to his run of recent bangers, and his latest release ‘Pretty Girls’ continues the ambush on our ears. Teaming up with one of the hottest underground rappers of current times, TE DNESS, the two make for a sharp, infectious track, coupled with a catchy hook, as they rap about their adoration for females with sharp deliveries and flows.

Fresh from his most recent release ‘Pull Up’ featuring Moelogo, SEEJAY100 gained a wealth of new support and kudos from his peers and music platforms alike, seeing him tipped as ‘One To Watch for 2017’ and garnering support from platforms such as Spotify, BBC and Voice Newspaper.

The rapper takes an inventive and inspired approach to his music, mixing up the flavours and inspirations, which has been a catalyst in him working with some of the scenes most highly rated emcees including, Cadet, Big Tobz, Bonkaz and Stormzy over recent months, and now with TE DNESS who has just delivered his first headline show to rapturous applause of fans and the scene.

The last 12 months have seen SEEJAY100 earn the support of new fans alongside the music gatekeepers and tastemakers. With a fresh new single already in the pipeline set to follow ‘Pretty Girls’, SEEJAY100 is set to ensure that his name won’t be missed in 2017.

Mind Kyle Letterman and distant light

KYLE LETTMAN and production duo DISTANT LIGHT have teamed up for a Summer fuelled, Garage hit, Mind, released last week.

Earlier this year, KYLE LETTMAN released his remake of Garage classic, Moving Too Fast. Daring to medal with a classic track, the results were fruitful and singer/songwriter received an incredible response across Radio and Online platforms seeing the record being supported across the BBC, Kiss and Capital networks….and it doesn’t stop there. 2015 has been quite the year for Kyle as he also opened the show at Omarion’s UK headline gig at KOKO helped by some serious online support from Pixie Lott!

Kyle isn’t the only one to have made some serious noise of late as production duo DISTANT LIGHT hit the music landscape last year with their official remix of UK RnB singer Angel’s chart-topping track Wonderful. The garage number quickly got the stamp of approval from leading tastemakers DJ EZ from Kiss 100 and BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Cameo. DISTANT LIGHT have worked their production magic on Ellie Goulding’s Beating Heart, Misha B’s Home Run and top 10 single All Cried Out by Blonde. Their recent effort Raggamuffin, was named Song of the Week here on NEW LEASE MUSIC.

It seems this is going to be one solid collaboration; so don’t miss out, have a listen to Mind.

Star Song: Positive Change – Bobb Shaw

Bobb Shaw

Today’s song is Positive Change by British indie rocker BOBB SHAW. The single is coming from the EP Stars Will Fall, released in June.

Stars Will Fall has made quite an impact, as the first single from the EP, Whiskey was aired on BBC Introducing Leeds – just  a few hours of its release! Days later, he was approached by the producer of The Voice UK to attend an audition.

No doubt his fruitful journey is set to continue with  Positive Change. This laid-back single, which is topped off by this guy’s soothing  and slightly husky vocals, is perfect  for relaxing on a hot summer’s day.

If you like the sound of Positive Change, it’s worth heading over to his SoundCloud page to check out his EP.

Star song: 1982 –El Born

el born 1982

Today’s song is 1982 the, debut single from British alternative rock band, EL BORN.

Since forming in May of this year, the London-based act is already making waves; they’ve done back-to-back live performances across London and they were also featured on BBC Sessions in June.

It comes to no surprise that these guys generated interest in no time, as 1982 is simply a pleasant production, with effortlessly cool but gutsy vocals that instantly grabs your attention. Since its release in May, 1982 reached number 19 in the iTunes chart. It was also featured on ITV’s hit drama Monroe and coldplay.com.
