Jamie Lee Harrison Delivers Powerful Pop Ballad, ‘Say It Out Loud’

Following last summer’s ‘Scars At Night’ collaboration with Swiss producer Nicolas Haelg, which amassed over a million streams on Spotify alone, and on the back of opening for Ronan Keating in concert, British singing sensation JAMIE LEE HARRISON is back with a brand new single titled ‘Say It Out Loud’.

Produced by Lewis Gardiner, who has previously worked with Ellie Goulding, Nick Jonas and Chvrches, among others, and written by Jamie along with Gardiner and Nick Bradley, ‘Say It Out Loud’ is a glorious pop ballad for the ages, which captures Jamie at his very best, with his amazing voice, vibrant lyricism and relatable songwriting taking centre stage.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Say It Out Loud’ and how the track came together, Jamie Lee Harrison says, “The song was written in lockdown. All of my writing sessions were cancelled when the world came to a halt, so the songwriting world turned to Zoom and it kinda worked! It’s weird trying to write a song over the internet, but it has become the new norm and allowed me to collaborate with some incredible producers. The song speaks to that bond you have with someone special, when you know what you’re both feeling, but you don’t want to ruin it by saying anything. The production on this track is also a little different for me, which I like”.

Newcastle-born Jamie Lee Harrison is one of the most promising music prospects coming out of the North East, and has grown to become a real staple of the region’s music ecosystem. Having spent years developing his melodic sound and purposeful songwriting, he has steadily grown a tribe of people passionate for the genuine music from the heart that he offers. He captured the nation’s hearts on BGT in 2017, before releasing his first series of singles and collaboration to rave reviews, selling out his nationwide tour, and headlining the prestigious Newcastle Cathedral,
garnering support from CelebMix, Affinity Magazine and The Chronicle, along the way.

Having spent the first half of the year collaborating on new music, with writers and producers that have worked alongside the likes of Ed Sheeran, Ne-Yo and Celine Dion, Jamie Lee Harrison is poised for a breakout summer of 2021, led by his brand new single ‘Say It Out Loud’, which will be followed by a string of further singles and live shows over the summer, leading up to his debut EP, which arrives via Humble Angel Records next year.

New Music Video: You Saw The Devil In Me – Liam Bailey

Nottingham soul musician LIAM BAILEY is marching on with his highly anticipated comeback, already garnering support from Clash Magazine, Complex, BBC 1Xtra, Earmilk and SoulBounce, among others, as he gears up to release his fourth studio EP titled Brand New on February 1, 2019. Today, he double backs with the EP’s excellent second single ‘You Saw The Devil In Me’ and its accompanying visuals, premiered via Billboard.

Written by LIAM BAILEY and produced by frequent collaborator on this new project, Rich Cooper, whose previous production credits include work for Banks, Lucy Rose, Billie Marten and Tom Odell, ‘You Saw The Devil In Me’ is an introspective and thought-provoking piano ballad backed by minimalist yet stirring string arrangements and gospel choral backing vocals, over which LIAM BAILEY bares his heart out, about facing his inner demons.

The visuals for ‘You Saw The Devil In Me’ see Liam Bailey collaborating once again with James Beale, who directed the video for his recent single ‘Brother, Why You Gotta Love Her’ featuring Maverick Sabre. Beale also directed the visuals for Temples’ ‘Strange Or Be Forgotten’ and Lion’s ‘Self Control’, as well as previous work for Adidas, Meadowlark and River Island. Filmed in Bulgaria, the visuals are stripped back, and allow for the record to take centre stage and grip the audience.

From his debut EPs, which were released by Amy Winehouse, his UK top 5 single with Chase & Status, and his seminal debut album, to collaborations with the likes of Gorillaz and Salaam Remi, touring with Paloma Faith and Ellie Goulding, and support from Annie Mac, Zane Lowe and Jools Holland, LIAM BAILEY continues to be one of the finest voices and purest talents in British soul…check out the video below…

New Track: Louis Baker – Gave It All Away

LOUIS BAKER shares new single ‘Gave It All Away’, which follows two breathtaking songs ‘Fade’ and ‘Rainbow’ and a year of co-writing and songwriting sessions abroad. ‘Gave It All Away’ has been released as two different versions: one is a strikingly raw, acoustic recording by Baker, and the other is an electronic dance track produced by none other than Fat Freddy’s Drop legend behind the MPC, Mu.

Written alone by the young Wellington-based songwriter, “Gave It All Away” came to life late one night in a hotel room, far from the grounding lights of home. Baker recalls that moment of creative revelation: “I remember feeling the exhaustion starting to set in, after being on the road by myself in the UK for quite some time. The song is about not giving up on your dreams. It’s about never giving in. It’s about the resolve and determination one must have in order to make these dreams become reality.”

Last year, Louis spent a great deal of time overseas, creating new material and collaborating with a range of fellow songwriters from around the world. In late 2016, he attended ASCAP’s Songwriter Retreat – a prestigious songwriting camp held at the Château Marouatte castle in Southern France during the latter half of September. Previous attendees have included Ellie Goulding, James Bay, Mika, Mike Posner, Dougy Mandagi (The Temper Trap) and Tom Higgenson (Plain White T’s).

Throughout travelling and seeing the world in 2016, the 27-year-old Wellingtonian released two singles, “Rainbow” and “Fade”, which invited us into a new chapter in this soulful singer-songwriter’s book and a new era of his musical evolution, further marked by third release “Gave It All Away”.

So go on, enter into this talented singer’s new chapter and listen to this latest effort.

Mind Kyle Letterman and distant light

The garage number quickly got the stamp of approval from leading tastemakers DJ EZ from Kiss 100 and BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Cameo.
