New Track! Colored Shadez – Black The ILLA

The illa

The chances are you may not heard of  BLACK THE ILLA – well let me tell you, he doesn’t hold back especially in his latest track, Colored Shadez.

With clever samples of Betty White’s 80s single Keep Love New, the Alabama-based emcee addresses the systematic racism that plagues the US today. As a voice in the South, ILLA collects his thoughts giving a thoughtful analysis on the issue of race.

Colored Shadez is available as a free download via SoundCloud.

New Track! Be Real – J.Kas (Ft. Alicia Renee)

J kas Be Real

It’s been a little over ten days since J.KAS appeared on NEW LEASE MUSIC with upbeat effort, Rich and Famous. Now he returns with something different.

Featuring Alicia Renee’s soothing vocals, latest track Be Real showcases the upcoming rapper’s uncharacteristically easy-cruising flow washing over atmospheric arrangements, creating a real chilled out vibe. This is definitely going to be a hot one, have a listen.

Be Real is the second release from J.KAS‘ second EP #Hometown out 3rd February

New Track! Working – King Dice O

Conscious lyricist KING DICE O is keeping to his new year’s resolution and knocks out the second release for this month appropriately named Working, taken from his upcoming mixtape, The Life Vol.2 (The Quiet Storm), out 18th February. Take time out and have a listen!

It wasn’t that long ago since  KING DICE O was featured here with Pain of Fortune (recently named Song of the Week by NEW LEASE MUSIC).

The New York emcee has no time to kick back and relax and instead join forces with fellow emcees DICE CANNON and JUICE CANNON (who also provided the beats to the track) for the making of the music video to laid back golden hip-hop effort, Lounge Music. So go ahead, watch the video, sit back and just lounge to it!

Lounge Music is taken from KING DICE O‘s forthcoming album, The Life Vol. 2 (The Quiet Storm), set for release 24th January.
