Self-proclaimed ‘rhythmic philosopher’ BENJAMIN AD shares more of his alternative hip-hop beats with the first in a series of monthly singles, Come My Way, set for release on 6th November.

The poignant yet catchy track (produced by critically acclaimed Junia T, who worked with Benjamin on his debut  acclaimed release, Monster’s Ball) details the difficulties the South London rapper  has encountered on his musical journey and the “mental demons” that have followed him.

Benjamin explains: “This track is about needing to grow constantly, summarising the whole life process with ‘we’re all children no matter how old’. I feel no matter what age we’re at we have growing to do, learning to do, regardless of our social/societal standing.”

New Track! God JS (i) – Jordan Sefton

After a lengthy hiatus, JORDAN SEFTON is back with the first instalment of music titled, God JS (i).

The two and a half record features a wavey old school beat where the London rapper doesn’t hold back and delivers bars that shudder with realness and honesty.

This is the first single to be released via Damm Records from his new material and will be available to order on iTunes at the end of the month.

New Track! The Moment – J.A.S

Producer, Composer, Songwriter, Rapper and Engineer, J.A.S (Just A Star) has dropped his debut solo single, The Moment earlier this month on iTunes.

The University of Chichester Music Production graduate had success in the South African music industry with electro pop/hip-hop group Tiger X, whose single was number one on the UJFM top 40 for over ten consecutive weeks as well as charting on a string other radio stations.

Along with his solo career, J.A.S -whose real name is Jayd Soliar – is currently doing post production and sound design for the biggest 2D animation company in South Africa, Sea Monster, as well as lecturing at the Campus of Performing Arts (COPA), Pretoria, South Africa. To add to the busy schedule, he’s  completing his debut album, which he plans to release in 2016…so look out for that; but for now, have a listen to The Moment.

New Track! Wake Up – Sympathetic Frequencies

LA-based indie rockers SYMPATHETIC FREQUENCIES released their single, Wake Up last Friday. The infectious offerings is the first release from their upcoming EP.

Following the release of their self-titled record in 2012 the band came to life, consisting of Trevor O’Neill (guitar, vocals), Daniel Berkman (guitar, vocals), Brian Henspeter (drums), and Josh Nyback (bass). To accompany their latest offerings, produced by engineer Eric Palmquist (Bad Suns, Dot Hacker, The Mars Volta),  the guys are working on a music video and are planning a West Coast tour for this December.

New Track! Lace – View (ft. LCMDF)

Finland’s hottest up-and-coming rap artist, VIEW drops third single Lace from his upcoming EP, Avalon out 2nd October.

Featuring Electro-pop duo LCMDF,  the three-and-a-half minute production displays a smooth, downtempo drive with an alternative hip-hop beat. Lace chronicles a tale of depression and survival, while showcasing a move away from his previous darker productions, which include the bass-heavy Spill (feat. Noah Kin).
