Song of the Day: Justice – Cherryshoes

cherryshoes

CHERRYSHOES have made a return with a completely upbeat south through their single, ‘Justice’.

The Welsh pop/rockers, seemed to have dropped the infamous hypnotic tone, featured in their previous effort, ‘Ride On’ and adopted a slight housey, 1990s Massive Attack feel in the almost five-minute offerings.

Song of the Day: Spiral (Out of Time) – DJ Canvas

DJ CANVAS is another old face that has returned to the NEW LEASE MUSIC limelight and steal the Friday hotspot with track ‘Spiral (Out of Time)’. The latest offering seems to mark the departure from her electro house focus into an electrifying fusion of trap, trance and elements of dubstep.

The three-and-a-half-minute smasher earned her a spot to play at the Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival on Friday 3rd Match between 6:30-7:30PM at the Pavilion Palace Stage, after it was entered into a two-part competition.

So if you’re in the Tampa/ St. Pete or South Florida area, go and support your girl! I’m sure you won’t have a dull moment! To show her appreciation to you, this track is available as a FREE download – so go and get it!

Song of the Day: Shredded Jeans – Mark L. Oakes

Today’s song is ‘Shredded Jeans’ from Belgian singer/songwriter MARK L. OAKES, taken from his debut album, ‘Call Me The Moon’.

With the acoustic guitar and woeful violin taking centre stage and existing in sweet harmony, the nine track production is certainly worthy of the description as the ‘ideal soundtrack for a karmic road trip’.

After much deliberation, ‘Shredded Jeans’ made it to the hotspot for its heartfelt and subtle  influences of folk/rock heavyweights, Neil Young, Tom Petty…oh this is too good to miss; have a listen.
