Mixtape Review: Shades of Mary – Jetpack Jones and Brock Berrigan

Shades of Mary
Californian emcee JETPACK JONES and New York producer BROCK BERRIGAN came together for their latest collaborative effort Shades of Mary, released last month.

With the 17-track mixtape, the duo mixed hip-hop with every possible genres going – 70’s groove, 80’s funk, R&B, reggae, rare groove and a hint of Latin  – you name it, they’ve done it! What makes this project so intriguing is the super cool, chilling-in-the-summertime delivery of quick witted, laugh-out-loud wordplay that suits every genre featured on this mammoth production.

Even if you’re not a die-hard hip-hop head, Shades of Mary is definitely worth a trial, because these two guys created really something special here…
