Upcoming Release: Celebrate – Jordan Morris

Jordan Morris

Taking on the classic sound of UK garage music, JORDAN MORRIS is set to release track Celebrate through IQMG Records

The beat skipping kick drums married with the reggae guitar riff lay the foundations to the track as the tempo bubbles and flows, leading in to the vibesy hook.

Having previously collaborated with Dappy and Faith SFX, Jordan has continued to carve his musical niche, perfecting his current sound for forthcoming debut EP Discovery due for release in 2016.  Revealing that he’s been working with super producers such as P2J and writers ‘Roc-City’, responsible for hits for Usher, Rihanna & Ciara, the EP marks  great depth and talent from this upcomer in a way that hasn’t previously been heard.

Celebrate is out on 24th December via iTunes.

New Track! Ice Cream – Solo Kings (ft. Black$ Money)

solo king

It’s been awhile since SOHO KINGS showed their face on this blog – that’s because the hip-hop/pop duo from Brooklyn had a busy year. Since the release of their mixtape, The Climb in January, the pair had back-to-back shows in NYC and across the east coast.

Now, late in the 4th quarter of 2015, they are set to release Out My Mind EP, a  short but transcendent expose into their extensive range. The first single, Ice Cream (featuring Black$ Money), is a trap/pop club banger with hard-hitting sonics the group is known for.

Ice Cream is available as a free download via SoundCloud.

New Track! Matter Of Time (Distant Light Remix) – Kyle Lettman

At the top of this month, UK R&B singer KYLE LETTMAN was here on NEW LEASE MUSIC with his single, Matter Of Time.

Two weeks down the line, the 90s-inspired old school number gets the garage treatment from production duo DISTANT LIGHT – check out the remix below.

The original version of Matter Of Time is from the five-track EP Under Construction, available now on iTunes.

EP Review: Do You Feel Electric? – Miss

miss

Fresh blood to the music scene, electronic rock duo MISS have released their entirely self-produced EP, Do You Feel Electric? last month.

Their four-track collection displays an avant-garde (and I have to say) a very dark approach to the aforementioned genres,  creating bitter-sweet volcanic bursts of excitement, well executed by the guitar and the piano (in Shelter).

Based in London and Sussex, these alternative rockers took a big gamble with their debut offering…and it could pay off quite handsomely. Show your support and take time out and listen to the EP.

Must Listens: Smokescreen (watch the video here), Shelter.

New Track! Feels Like Yesterday – Mi’das

feels like yesterday

Soulman Mike Davies -aka MI’DAS – released his latest effort Feels Like Only Yesterday, taken from his debut album All Inside Your Head, coming out early next year.

The three-minute reflective production displays his trademark soulful vocal and guitar style, bearing the strong influence of a 1970s Stevie Wonder.

mi'das

The London-based crooner worked as a session musician with a string of heavyweights including Jessie J, Rita Ora, Labyrinth and Jamie Cullum and has performed at the O2 arena, Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park and Kensington Palace (In front of Prince William, Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift.)

With a total of 60 shows to 20,000 people this year and a new album on the horizon, this deeper-than-your average-pop (or should I say soul) star is the one to watch for 2016. Feels Like Yesterday is now available on iTunes.
