Song of the Day: Breathe – Incisive

Today’s song is Breathe by INCISIVE.

If you’re not familiar with this smooth artist, let me give you a quick introduction: over the years, the London rapper has worked with the likes of Reggae musician JULIAN MARLEY, West London singer-songwriter and producer SHAKKA  and rapper YJ in his track Everythings Alright.

He’s known for effortlessly blending elements of soul and R&B, while maintaining a homegrown style of rapping. The contrast of the two makes a unique sound which received heavy rotation on BET, MTV and Choice FM.

Produced by JNuro, Breathe reflects obstacles  in life.  The one shot video brings this concept to life, showing the slick emcee trying to get to a simple destination but being faced with a number of obstacles and situations, turning what should be a simple journey into  pure drama! Did he reach his destination? Well you have a check the video to find out!

Song of the Day: Polaroid Flick – Tru Fam

TRU FAM Thrill XL

Check today’s song, Polaroid Flick   from hip-hop duo TRU FAM. The track is coming from their latest mixtape, Thrill XL, released  the end of April.

Hailed as one of the freshest acts in their hometown, New Jersey, twin brothers Sha (Shareef Naley) and Justi (Tyreef Nealy)  mix hip-hop with a dense downtempo drive (or, if you like, trip-hop.)

It all started back in 2009, when the release of their debut mixtape, Out of this World,  brought them back-to-back performances around New Jersey. Their track All We Need earned them a spot at the Van Rap Tour and they  also received heavy coverage on MTV and Last F.M. with their project Bowties and Applause.

The success doesn’t end with attention-grabbing tracks – they’re on a serious mission in building their brand #ULTRACULTURE, which encourages people to go for their dreams.
