Guess what hip hop heads…the best master is back with his latest mixtape, 15 Minutes of Fame. Released last month, the 10-track album is bursting with shoulder swinging, get-off-your-butt-and-move bass line, finish off by the hip-hop artist’s second-to-none freestyling.

15 Minutes of Fame kicks off real good with Make You Look, which features on-the-money samples of NAS’ hit with the same name. And this guy knows how to use hit samples and make it his own…just listen to Trophies. TC UNO gave DRAKE’S hit a new lease of life by adding more bass and drive coupled with faster-than-lighting raps and laugh-out-loud wordplay.

TC UNO is known (by his loyal fans) for his on-the-spot raps…and he didn’t disappoint as he effortlessly spits in easy-cruising  PoundCake (Freestyle) and Inferno (Freestyle).

15 Minutes of Fame doesn’t fizzle out with last track, Family Affair. With summery, throw-your-hands-up-in-the-air beats and soothing raps, this track has all the right ingredients of becoming a summer anthem.

Usually at this point, I offer my conclusion on an album or mixtape…15 Minutes of Fame is TOO good for that. So the next is to head right here and check it out for yourself.

Song of the Day: Celebration Bitches (Ft. Eb2K) – Marquis Tyrone Iggy

Marquis TyroneToday’s song is the super smooth Celebration Bitches by MARQUIS TYRONE IGGY.

This Miami-based hop-hop artist dropped his mixtape, Welcome to the Gardens in January (available on SoundCloud). Since the release of his 8-track production, the new kid on the hip-hop block has been back in the studio, churning out tracks…and Celebration Bitches is one them. With that 70’s-inspired after hours beat and Marquis’ laid back/easy riding raps, this track can EASILY become a favourite with urban radio stations.

So go on, have a listen …and if you’re feeling Celebration Bitches, it’s well worth having a listen to his mixtape.

EP Review – Room for improvement – E-Thrilla

Ethrilla Room for Improvement

UK rapper/producer/songwriter E-THRILLA is determined to take hip-hop to another place through his EP Room For Improvement, released last month.

In this 3-track production, the Manchester-based artist incorporates the genre with refreshingly-light and echoic modern melodies, as featured in Simple and Ready. Romance Is Dead brilliantly samples PALOMA FAITH’s single of the same name, which is infused with his trademark of that modern, slightly sped-up simple and light undertone.

Room for Improvement is an EP that leaves you wanting more. With such innovative approach to hip-hop, it’s intriguing to see what E-THRILLA will do next…so stay tuned for more updates!

For now, have a listen to Room For Improvement (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
