Song of the Day: Haunting Me – HEBE

Rising artist HEBE tackles her fears and anxieties head-on with empowering soulful electro-pop single ‘Hunting Me’, the first release from her forthcoming debut album ‘Cards On The Table’, planned for release in Spring 2020.

Hailing from Amsterdam, the talented artist has been collaborating with some of the Netherlands’ finest musicians. Credits for this cut see award-winning producer/mixer Huub Reijnders, drummer Martijn Bosman, pianist and vocalist Ruben Hein contributing to the harmonious contrast of warm, catchy vocals set to pulsating electro-pop drums and synths.

Speaking of the release, HEBE reveals: ‘Hunting Me’ tells the story of a vivid dream in which the artist faces her own demons; “I could feel these fears so clearly but couldn’t see or grab them. In ‘Hunting Me’ I try to make these fears tangible by giving them a face,”

HEBE’s previously released EPs, ‘The Beginning’ and the internationally acclaimed ‘Tell Me’, have garnered upwards of a million streams on Spotify, and have seen support from international tastemakers including The 405, Impose Magazine, Noctis Magazine, Earmilk, Vice and Music Week, whilst receiving airplay from Hoxton Radio, Fubar Radio and Reprezent Radio. This early international approval culminated in HEBE performing at the prestigious Metropolis Studios and at London’s renowned Camden Assembly, whilst back in her own country, HEBE has already performed on national TV and radio shows.

‘Hunting Me’ gives an insight into her unique sensibility and sound; just one piece of a puzzle which will cement her status as a bonafide songwriting talent….Check her out below…

New Music Video: The Feels – Humans

Vancouver duo HUMANS have released a new interactive 360º virtual reality video today for their single ‘The Feels’.

Their dark electronic-pop is perfectly countered by a sense of paranoia and isolation from the video’s protagonist. The VR puts the viewer directly into that space of unease, prodding them forward, as the track builds to a nightmarish warehouse rave.

‘The Feels’ follows their interactive 360º virtual reality video for previous single ‘Boys & Girls‘ – the videos are impressive; it’s well worth hitting that play button.

Surrounding the new release, HUMANS will be embarking on a string of shows across the US. See dates below:

11.9.17 – Los Angeles, CA – The Moroccan Lounge
11.10.17 – San Francisco, CA – Cafe Du Nord
11.11.17 – Brooklyn, NY – Elsewhere

New Track: Burn Up – District 11

district-burn-up

Producer Isaac Reid and singer/songwriter Melinda Burns (Mel B) – aka DISTRICT 11 – are back with a brand new single Burn Up, making a complete u-turn from their previous lazing-in-the-summer offering, Sunshine.

The almost three-minute uplifting treat boasts a borderline electropop/dance bassline where Burns injects some gutsy conviction to her angelically-light vocals, adding a real club-ish, Ibizan vibe.  Perhaps reminiscent of Emeli Sande’s hit, Heaven…have a listen and see what you think.

Song of the Day: RUINED – Becka Pimenta
