EP Review: Echoes of the Future: Playhead

1. Bring the Thunder
2. Clean Air
3. New York Skyline
4. Reach

Bristol-based electronic dance band PLAYHEADS released their EP, Echoes of the Future.

Released last month, the 4 track EP spans from the creative minds of British producers Jonathan Savage and Bruce Turner. Together they create something that’s pretty special by bringing back the favour of 90’s dance music and adding their modern twist of electronics beats…and they didn’t stop there… they pushed the boundaries by dropping a hint of Afrobeats, featured in first track Bring in the Thunder.

So if you want to head down memory lane, it’s worth giving Echoes of the Future a blast…and if you do, don’t forget your acid smiley face t-shirt!

Star tracks:

Bring in the Thunder; Clean Air…oh, what the hell – listen to the EP! Just head right here and enjoy!

Song of the Day: Reborn – Plainview

Today’s song is the easy listening Reborn by PLAINVIEW. This single is the first release their debut album releasing later this year.

These British soothing folk rockers were featured on NEW LEASE MUSIC back in August with their feel good/summery single, Warmth of the Sun.

Now do yourself a favour and have a blast at Reborn – I guarantee you, it will give a glowing feeling inside your soul – it’s like drinking whisky on a winter’s day! If you’re in love with Reborn, it’s worth keeping a lookout for their album on NEW LEASE MUSIC. For now, show a little love and say hi to the guys @Plainviewbanduk.
