New Track: Call Me In The Morning – The Streets (ft. Chip & Grim Sickers)

Fresh off its premiere as both Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record’ on Radio 1 and DJ Target’s ‘Targo Embargo’ on BBC 1Xtra, THE STREETS return with a slamming new release entitled ‘Call Me In The Morning’, featuring Chip and Grim Sickers.

Landing straight on the Spotify ‘New Music Friday’ playlist, Apple Music ‘Best of the Week’ and picking massive support from the likes of Julie Adenuga at Beats 1, Dev at Radio 1, NME, Dork, Complex, Clash, Joe.co.uk, The Line of Best Fit, Hot New Hip Hop and more, the visuals were exclusively revealed via GRM Daily last week. New Track: Domino – Sofia

Rising young Finnish singer-songwriter SOFIA, may just be 18 years old but she’s mature beyond her years. A singer since she was little, the Helsinki born artist is now ready to step into the spotlight with her brand new single ‘Domino’.

Previous singles, ‘Underwater’ and ‘Your Arms’, earned her early support from key Spotify ‘New Music Friday’ and key Finnish influencers, with heavy rotation from the largest Finnish tastemaker radio Yle X.

With ‘Domino’ being her international debut, there’s not much to know about Sofia, but her effortless honeyed vocals and honest lyricism reveal a mature songwriter able to express her most intimate feelings. Somewhere between Billie Eilish haunting ballads, Khalid’s pop-inflected R&B and Anne-Marie’s truth-telling, SOFIA is on the right path to becoming the next Nordic-pop sensation.

New Track: Think We’re Fine – Sub Blue (ft Manga Saint Hilare)

NEW LEASE MUSIC regular and favourite SUB BLUE hooks up with his favourite MC, Manga Saint Hilare and brings something a little different to the table with brand new single ‘Think We’re Fine.

The promising soul newcomer exchanges his melancholic take on soulful R&B for a mid-tempo combo of hip-hop/R&B. SUB BLUE‘s vocal instrument injects a summery nineties vibe (think Usher), whereas Saint Hilare, vibrantly spits over the laid back bars.

Speaking of his latest release, SUB BLUE says: “Think We’re Fine’ is about how we live our lives carefree; spending money, doing whatever it is we want – without worrying about consequence or seeming not to. This is often glorified publicly making it so easy to bask in the glory of it. But behind all that, we are all fighting our own battles that not everyone knows about.

For the artwork, I used an image of Mac Miller, who I felt perfectly personified the emotion of the record to me. I am a big fan of his music but I think that tragedy, like many others, reflects the duality of celebrated recklessness and internal pain vs external perceptions.”

‘Think We’re Fine’ is the lead single from his forthcoming project, ‘Wilfully Blind’.

New Track: Liar – Luke Friend

You might remember LUKE FRIEND as the teenage rising star that finished third on the X-Factor in 2013, but the now 22-year old Devon singer and songwriter is finally coming into his own as a bonafide musician with his brand new single titled ‘LIAR’.

Released via ex Warner Music Vice President Kieron Donoghue’s indie label Humble Angel Records, ‘Liar’ is the first official single from Friend, since 2016’s ‘Take On The World’ and his UK top 40 charting ‘Hole In My Heart’, before that.

Led by his powerful signature vocals and gripping raspy tones, ‘Liar’ is a soulful bass-heavy offering with an exquisite UK Garage-esque undertone, which sees Friend finally coming to terms with a lying partner and breaking free from the relationship. The track is further held together, by a thumping bassline, engrossing storytelling and an explosive chorus that will compel you to sing along.

So get ready to sing at the top of your lungs…hit play on ‘LIAR’
