Oloye Coldman offers encouragement in new single, ‘Anything’.

After claiming the #4 spot on NEW LEASE MUSIC’s Top Ten Albums 2022 list, multi-award winning artist, song writer, record producer and an entrepreneur Oloye Peter Oluwamayowa – better known as OLOYE COLDMAN returns , offering pure empowerment for listeners to pursue their dreams with his first release of 2023 titled ‘Anything’.

With a catchy melody and uplifting lyrics, the gentle guitar licks introduces the inspirational piece which builds up to an energetic chorus, featuring dynamic vocals and lively instrumentation.

YKB Releases ‘Yusful Music’ EP

Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, singer-songwriter YKB is transforming the sound of Afropop. Taking his real name Oluwo Yusuf Gbolaga, he has created the title ‘Yusful Music’ for his debut EP.

YKB has carved a lane for himself with his vibrant artistic vision and refined execution highlighted on the five track EP, which features the already released ‘San Siro’ and ‘Bo Card (Things I Need)’ with a combined 1.5 million streams on Spotify. Lead track ‘Komplete Riddim’ is an upbeat fusion with rhythmic patterns and afrobeats blended with an R&B feel to it, with the lyrics highlighting YKB’s incredible vocal range and soft pitch.

Across the EP, with other tracks ‘Pressure’ and ‘Traffic’, YKB delivers with soul and passion, with a sense of urgency and emotion reflecting the afropop roots in African Folk Music. YKB has carved a lane for himself with his vibrant artistic vision and refined execution.

Speaking on ‘Yusful Music’ he says, “That’s all I’m trying to do, transform feelings into sonics. And to do that on the highest level, as best as I can.”

OUT TODAY: Listen to LT’s EP, ‘Out the Trenches’

Port Harcourt bred singer/songwriter, LT‘s his first body of work ‘Out The Trenches’ documents the past three years of his life. A seven track, soulful, groovy, synth-heavy, rhythmic project, intentionally put together to showcase the outer-worldly range and drive he possesses as an artist.

Creating the majority of the project from a headspace of gloom, self reflection, and hunger, LT had to channel all these emotions, igniting light out of a place of darkness, hence the title Out The Trenches. LT’s scintillating range in songwriting, performance and cadence shines through on every track, affirming a thematic expression that characterizes a phase personally and artistically. Alongside creating a delicate sonic world that incorporates elements of R&B/Soul, Afrobeats, Trap & Reggaeton, owed to an impressive list of production collaborators, from Killer Producer, Abel Lead Us, Mazi Spice, Trizzy Beatx to other session vocalists and instrumentalists who added to the depth of the project.

705’s new EP, ‘7:05’ is a pleasurable fusion of Afrobeats, R&B and hip-hop

‘7:05’ is a six-track project that gives a deeper insight to the person (Surulere Bankholemoh) who most have come to know as Nigerian artist and producer, 705.

Released last Friday (26th of May), the E.P starts off with a surreal but yet motivating track entitled ‘Daily Prayer’ which gives a real introduction to the artist, sharing insights on his beliefs, hometown and upbringing. With party tracks like Arabian nights & Spender ‘7:05’ paints a full picture of 705 as he grab life firmly by the horns and live it to the fullest and party! The dark, sombre contribution from tracks, ‘Pain’ and ‘Over’ paint a vivid picture of returning to the everyday reality he lives once the good times are over.

705 is a . Born in Lagos, 705 was raised by his grandmother before moving to London in 2001. Influenced by so many great artists such as King sunny Ade, Fela kuti, Michael Jackson, Tupac and 50 Cent, 705’s sound is a fusion of Afrobeats, R&B and Hip-Hop Music and 7:05 EP encompasses all the genres into a pleasurable listening experience. Having shown heavy stream potential with the initial version, Nigerian singer/songwriter GEOXPRESS circles back and drops the remake of”365 (Grime Riddim)’, featuring Ghanaian, British singer, rapper, and songwriter Eugy, who is best known for his 2016 International hit single ‘Dance For Me’ alongside Mr. Eazi.

The original single sits on over one million streams across various streaming platforms and debuted on the top50 viral Spotify Nigeria chart.

Inspired by the likes of Drake and Wizkid, Geoxpress broke out back in 2017 and has since consistently build a sensual sound with relatable and, at times, witty lyrics. During lockdown, he teamed up with tonee C and 9t9 for collaborative mixtape, ‘UKIYO’.
