Star Song: Momo –BOMBEE

momo bombee

Today’s song is Momo by German indietronic band BOMBEE. The single is out the on 23th August 2013 and is the first release from their upcoming EP Aurelia.

The band was born out of a close friendship between Alexander Seypt (vocalist) and Philip Roeder (drums/electronics).The duo was later joined by Felix Schubert (song writing/electronics) and Markus Altmann (cello). Together they created an undeniably unique blend of heavy melancholic/down tempo drives with pleasantly light, crisp and beautiful undertones.

The relaxing Momo is a great introduction to this four-piece band, as it possesses their perfect signature infusion, making it a good listen on a pleasant summer’s day. Have a listen. If you like the sound of Momo, you can download this single, plus other tracks, on their  SoundCloud page.

Star Song: Whatever- Keeping The Faith Ft Ilia Darlin

Keeping the Faith -whatever

Today’s song is Whatever by KEEPING THE FAITH featuring ILIA DARLIN.

I featured the man behind KEEPING THE FAITH dubstep connoisseur Ian Halsall a few months back with club -filler Feel It . This time he teamed up with Greek-born singer ILIA DARIN for an in-your-face, bass-bursting production, topped off by the singer’s melodic vocals –another one that’s strictly for the dance floor. Go on, have a listen!

Like her collaborator of this single, ILIA DARLIN no stranger to the music scene. Starting out in an underground electro punk band called Stiletto Scag, she went on to become one of the biggest stars in her hometown and has been hailed ‘the next biggest thing’ and the ‘Greek renaissance.’

ILIA took her career to the next level and moved to London, where she performed at numerous of venues including MTV and London Fashion Week in 2011. She was also involved in a project with Konvict Muzik record label (co-owned by AKON) and collaborated with producer and songwriter Billy Mann, who produced hits for artists including PINK, KELLY ROWLAND and CELINE DION.

Now based in LA, ILIA DARLIN is currently working on new material. If you want to keep up to date with the talented singer, please visit her website, ILIA’S BEDROOM, where you can check her much-talked-about hits.

If you’re really feeling Whatever, you can check out more of KEEPING THE FAITH tracks on SoundCloud.

Star Song: All the Time – Wullae Wright

wullae wright - The Orange Line

Today’s song is All the Time by British singer-songwriter WULLAE WRIGHT. This track is coming from his latest album, The Orange Line.

In his teenage years, the indie-rocker taught himself to sing and to play the guitar. With his long-time friend and collaborator Stuart Carroll, the Scottish artist went to form a band called the Heads of State.

After the band dissolved in 2003, WULLAE WRIGHT branched out as a solo artist. From that point it was full-steam head, as multi-talented artist built up a pretty intriguing discography that definitely deserves a listen.

His latest effort, All the Time is a simple yet crisp production. If you’re unfamiliar with WALLAE WRIGHT’s work, this is an excellent introduction to this guy’s amazing vocals and guitar skills.

Take time out listen to the soothing All the Time. Like me, if you really love this track, head over to his SoundCloud page where there’s a collection of his work.
