Man, this Philly rapper has been busy…besides releasing his mixtapes The Current Times of Danny Green and 4th Quarter Grind earlier this year, he was recently featured on his boy SUGE MASAYA’s remixed version of I’m SO.

Now he produced (and also featured on) the atmospheric, spaced out track with MIZZY CARLO. Don’t leave this post until you have a bash – because these guys’ raps are on the money!

Star song: F.L.Y – T.O.M project

Today’s song is F.L.Y (Fucking Love You) by Italian alternative rock band T.O.M PROJECT. The single is coming from their debut EP, The Selfish Love Manifesto, released in March.

T.O.M PROJECT which stands for Temibile Orchestra Meccanica (Fearsome Mechanical Orchestra) is like PINK FLOYD, DAVID BOWIE and RADIOHEAD rolled  into one. A little hard to imagine? Well have a bash at F.L.Y – the DAVID BOWIE- esque vocals works brilliantly with the melodic and slightly aggressive sound of the guitar. Simply angelic.

Star Song: The Phoenix – Tom Mitchell.

Today’s song is The Phoenix by British singer/songwriter TOM MITCHELL. The single is coming from his debut album, New World.

Before going solo, the Bristol-based soft folk rocker was a supporting guitarist for 20 years and has worked with artists such as DUFFY.  In July he released his album which offers the perfect infusion of acoustic guitars and angelic harmonies. It was a tough job choosing a favourite, but The Phoenix made it to the star song spot, as it’s simply a pure and simple production, where you will be immediately drawn into this guy’s angelic vocals and the lone guitar. Breathtaking.

If you’ve been drawn in by The Phoenix, you certainly won’t be disappointed by the album –New World is available  on ITunes.

AERICK BAKER is known for his unique R&B atmospheric steamy love songs (check out Lordship) . Like his previous tracks, The Eagle in the Wind features his spin on the genre – but this time he’s showing love for this country . The super smooth singer is currently in the Air Force in the Middle East . The Norfolk State University student has been rapping for eight months, drawing inspiration from NOTORIOUS B.I.G, J.COLE, DRAKE, LAURYN HILL, EVE and MARVIN GAYE. Even though she has her influences, CATASTROPHICBEE – whose real name is Brittni Stanfield – don’t want to be defined or put into any categories – oh no!

Just have a listen to No Sweat (Juicy Freestyle) – because this is an OFF-THE-WALL introduction to this hip-hop upriser’s raps – seriously CHECK-IT-OUT!
