New Track! Don’t Be Shy – Kane

Kane

As a preview to his debut album, KANE releases his silky smooth offering, Don’t Be Shy.

Oozing with soul and the makings of a sweet R&B slow jam, the British R&B singer showcases weak-at-the-knees vocal over a beat laden with classic guitar riffs and snares, with a more contemporary deep bass backline shining through that perfectly holds each aspect of the track together.

With an equally impressive video in the pipeline, KANE makes his mark with depth and quality to his work. The video, shot in his hometown of Tottenham in London, gives a sincere perspective of the singer and the song itself as the luscious, sweet vocal collides with the raw, inner-city visual surroundings. The result is that of authenticity and somehow gives a new edge to the record that you might have missed on listening.

He may only be in the early stages of his career but this upcomer already has quite a story that has propelled him to his current place in music. At the age of 17, he released his debut E.P Dreams, which resulted in him working with acclaimed songwriter Sam Hook (Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Mary J Blige) and releasing Turn It Up featuring Sneakbo. He then went on to perform at DJ Cameo’s Summer Love festival in Cyprus alongside Tinie Tempah before returning to the UK and performing with the likes of J Spades and U.S songstress, Ashanti, at the IndigO2.

Set to have a big impact on the music scene over the coming years, this cute face lays down some strong foundations for what is to come –  have a listen to Don’t Be Shy.

New Track! Trickle Trickle – Kill J

Trickle Trickle Kill J

Following the overwhelming success of  You’re Good But I’m Better, which topped the Hype Machine chart at no.1, Danish experimental alt-pop sensation KIll J hopes to bring the same success with her new single, Trickle Trickle.

Drawing on the soundscapes of previous efforts, Propaganda and You’re Good But I’m Better, the three-and-a-half minute production takes on a more fragile and vulnerable feel. Though a more emotionally expressive piece that sees KILL J reveal a tender side to her distinctive charisma, the track’s punchy bass and expertly layered echoing vocals are still unmistakable.

Named ‘Band of the Week’ by The Guardian newspaper, KIll J has already gained a legion of fans, whilst receiving airplay from the likes of Huw Stephens and Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1, Mamiko Motto on NTS Radio and even a spin on Beats1. Armed with her latest release, she only looks set to further her position as one of Denmark’s most exciting exports: a reputation that will be cemented when she plays SXSW this year.

Trickle Trickle will form part of her debut EP, Quasi, set for release in March 2015.

KYLE LETTMAN unveiled a brand new STEAMY visual to another slamming R&B joint, Explode, set for release this month.

Directed by Chas Appeti, the video sees the UK singer and his love interest struggling to keep a part. The video perfectly captures the tempting, yet excruciating, experience of an illicit love affair expressed in the track.

Kyle –  who worked with the likes of Mary J Blige and Ne-Yo –  had a successful 2015, after dropping tracks including Moving Too Fast, which gained support across 1Xtra, Kiss, Capital Xtra and releasing his Under Construction EP. He ended the year by receiving major attention across social media, with his cover of Adele’s Hello, hitting over 2 million views on his Facebook page in a matter of weeks.

He is now back for 2016, with an EP dropping later this month – look out for that! But for now, watch the video to Explode.

Upcoming Release: Ready & Waiting – Becca B (ft. MceBisi)

Becca

It going to take more than a missed opportunity from a major record label (due to the discouragement of a mentor) to deter  BECCA B from the music business. Instead the R&B/urban pop princess dust herself off and kick-start a promising career with her smooth forthcoming release, Ready and Waiting featuring rapper MceBisi.

The sophisticated R&B number, underpinned by a flawless production and additional rap interlude, is tipped to be her biggest hit to date. She says: “This song is also about new steps. It is about the flirtatious engagements between two new people wanting something more from each other.”

Having honed and experimented with her skills over the years, by supporting acts such as Gareth Gates at Party In The Park and Stacey Solomon at The Ashfield Show, the exuberant singer from Nottinghamshire, who draws inspiration from artists such as Pink, Jason Derulo and Rihanna, is now ready to embark on a rosy future in the music industry with a repertoire of suave and laid-back pop beats.

Ready and Waiting is out on 12th February 2016.
