Today’s song is Funk With Me by Alabama-born singer/songwriter/emcee OMEGA B. This track is coming from her second album Soldier of Love, released earlier this year.
At the age of seven, she made her stage debut as lead guitarist with Blues Camp Kid and went on to travel across the southern state with the blues group as lead vocalist as well as lead guitarist. Despite her impressive early career, her greatest moment was sharing the stage with B.B. KING.
Drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists: KRS-ONE, SADE, ERYKAH BADU, TRIBE CALLED QUEST, QUEEN LATIFAH , BOB MARLEY, and OUKAST, the female emcee continue to grow as a guitar player and singer. Today’s song is Man on the Moon the first UK release by RO RO BENSON. The track is coming from her début EP Man on the Moon and The Optimist (released by Blank Rocket.)
The singer/songwriter comes from a strong musical family – her uncle is the jazz legend GEORGE BENSON. At the age of 15, she made American X-Factor history when the group she was in (called Stance) was the youngest band to make it to the final twelve groups. Before stepping out into the limelight with her début EP, she was part of Mr Bangladesh writing team, penning hits for big acts like RIHANNA, JLS and MARINA.

The Arkansas- born singer/songwriter developed a strong interest in music from the age of eight then became acquainted with the guitar at the age of 15.
The minute he graduated with a degree in Jazz Guitar, the indie folk rocker took his one-man act on the road, travelling to major cities including Nashville, New York and Los Angeles. On his travels, he met producer Dr. Benjamin Meade who asked him to produce a soundtrack for his documentary, Woke Up this Mornin’ in Arkansas Delta. After the project, he joined forces with friend and producer Nick Thompson to produce his new E.P.

Today’s song is U and Only U by Californian raised singer/songwriter NINOWES. The track was released in May.
After using the famous Jerk Movement as a platform, the Ohio born upcomer was more than ready to emerge as R&B solo artist. He had his first taste of success with his track, Bite Me (Bitch I Am A Mac Apple Bite Me) which has over 3 million plays virally by the group which he co founded called Breakfast Club. More recently he won an award for best Male R&B at the first 818 awards in September.
This guy is no one trick pony: he also produced hip hop songs for acts including MANN, KIDS IN THE HALL and KHLEO THOMAS – but R&B remains his first love. Well just have a listen to U and Only U. This track oozes pure class and it certainly justifies his award for Best Male R&B.
