Song of the Day: Way Out – Greg Banks

GREG BANKS bounced back into NEW LEASE MUSIC’s Song of the Day hotspot for the second time with track, ‘Way Out’.

Continuing the smooth R&B funk combo, featured in previous effort, ‘I’ll Be There’, the latest single is Greg’s most personal piece to date. Through his infamous after-hours falsetto, the funkmaster from New York lays his cards on the table and opens up to the trials and tribulations of living in a busy city…but this guy has enough faith to carry him into this lifetime and the next. He accepts rejection is part of life, which can be turned into opportunities.

GREG BANKS first graced his presence on the blog with single, ‘Tell Me’ which also claimed the blog’s Song of the Day hotspot back in April.

Before you head off, check out Greg’s super smooth number…and if you like what you hear, the video to the single is coming out this Friday!!! That should be good!

Song of the Day: Want ‘Em All – D Bakez

LADIES: If your day is not going how it should, fear not – D BAKEZ has entered the hotspot and saves the day with single ‘Want ‘Em All’.

Set over smooth electro soundscapes, this Connecticut slick emcee, in a nutshell, shows his appreciation for the female species. This feel-good track was released in the height of summer, but I think it’s perfect to boost some more love as we’re entering the cold and miserable months.

This guy has a whole LOT of love to give, so return the favour and check out ‘Want ‘Em All’.

Song of the Day: Into The Gray – Walla

Los Angeles band, WALLA, debuts their new single ‘Into The Gray.’ The band, comprised of Jean Marc Tardieu (Lead Vocals), Ian Charlie (Lead Guitar), Mauricio “Moebeats” Carcamo (Bass Guitar), Alessio Balsemin (Drums); have crafted a unique mix of indie pop infused with soul and a sprinkle of positivity.

‘Into The Gray’ was inspired by the instinctive need for human connection, and despite the differences and backgrounds, coming together to connect and engage can save us from the loneliness of the digital age. Jean Marc’s soulful vocals are at their best on this track, capturing the emotional magnitude of the message with his deep rasp and introspective demeanor.

The quartet’s aim is to create music that promotes escapism, pulling people away from the chaos of today’s world. Their single ‘101’ has almost 30 million plays on Spotify and the band has been featured on Billboard, MTV Buzzworthy, Nylon, and Snapchat.

Released in the summer, their EP ‘Body Language’ is a collection of tracks that encompasses the cultural backgrounds and influences the band makes up with their own diverse backgrounds, from the Caribbean to Italy to Indonesia –  and Los Angeles.

If you haven’t come across WALLA before, well here’s your chance to have the first taste of their EP; have a listen to ‘Into The Gray’:
