Song of the Day: Pattern – Trinity Square

Ever since Huey, ZIA, YD, Baby Boy and Trizzy VS released breakout record ‘Creepin’, they’ve been on an upward trajectory and their latest joint ‘Pattern’ looks set to see them enjoy further success as they continue to take their sound to another level.

With a varied mix of 5 separate sonics that provide rap, singing, depth, pace changes and knock out hooks, TRINITY SQUARE confidently blend individuality with the power of a group and are quickly being identified for the fact they can create big, original, sing-a-long records that highlight their exuberant energy and style.

Rooted in friendship, the music is a by-product of the natural vibe between the guys, which is why it works so flawlessly. Their shared opinions, personal takes on situations and ability to share playful innuendos and concepts, in an individual way, makes the result unique, genuine and contrasting from other music on offer right now.

With their hometown of Nottingham already firmly on lock from impressive early releases including ‘Pull Up’, ‘Gwop & Gwolla’, ‘Cold Summer’ and ‘Fanta’, TRINITY SQUARE found their first taste of major support with their most recent single ‘Creepin’ and have since gained support from fellow Notts chart hitters Young T & Bugsey.

Song of the Day: Rain – Shiraz

SHIRAZ makes a return to the blog’s hotspot for the second time with single ‘Rain’. The latest offering sees the teenage songstress exchange her neo soulful/pop trademark (featured in previous tracks, ‘Simmer Down’ and ‘Done The Dirty’) for an electronic/dance combo with strong nostalgic 80’s pop tones.

The release of ‘Rain’ is accompanied by a plethora of remixes from reputable producers, including clubland veterans TILT,  who co-wrote and single with the promising newcomer. It’s their driving beat and intense synths that, alongside the 17-year old singer-songwriter from Worcester, who’s vocals make this tune into an almighty earworm.
