Song of the Day: Special Moves – Dubby Blanco (ft. SofaKing)

New York hip-hop artist DUBBY BLANCO‘s latest single, ‘Special Moves’ is one smooth boom bap joint accompanied with dream-like lo-fi vibes that can easily put you in a trance. Featuring fellow New York rapper SofaKing, ‘Special Moves’, is a reminder to be thankful for small blessings, that comes out way, and also encourages us to live life to the fullest.

With Colombian roots, Blanco begin his career in entertainment, working as a music promoter for DJ Star’s Chub Ent, and eventually started his own promotions team called FlyBoii Ent back in 2001. Alongside running his company, Blanco also performed as a rapper, creating significant buzz in his hometown and internationally.

In 2011, he dropped his debut mixtape, ‘Blancolombia’, followed up with his 2014 EP ‘Family Trees’. 2022 saw Blanco working alongside with DJ Chase, founder of New York City-based production company Worldwide Soundz Records and the founder of DJ Chase Publishing, LLC.

Coming from New York City, D.V. MAJOR (D V stands for Die-Verse), demonstrates his ability to delve into different aesthetics of music to stand apart from the others with track, ‘Decide’, an instantly addictive fusion of underground hip-hop and boom bap.

At the age of 17, D.V Major co-created Die-Verse Records, a label where artists are able to tap into different pockets and elements of music without the need to box themselves in. DJ Chase Taps UK Artist OGW For Emotive Joint, ‘Bad Guy’

DJ CHASE teams up with British artist OGW for new emotive joint, ‘Bad Guy’, which chronicles the pain and struggles in everyday life.

OGW made his debut on the UK rap scene in 2022. While he takes influence from contemporaries such as Eminem, Jack Harlow and Kendrick Lamar, OGW’s years of experimenting within the hip-hop genre have culminated in a flow and style that are unmistakably his own.

DJ Chase is the founder of New York City-based production company Worldwide Soundz Records and the founder of DJ Chase Publishing, LLC. Before he was in the boss’s chair, his roots began as a professional DJ, specializing in Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae/ Dance-Hall, old-school, and House music.
