OTIS MENSAH has unveiled a brand new black and white video for his latest release ‘Solitude’, the final part of a trilogy of singles including ‘Oh Jane’ and ‘Sanctified’.
The lyrics depict internal battles with mental pressures/anxieties, an addiction to isolation and the silence it leaves for the voice of creativity, driven by the Sheffield spitter’s split-personality/high-octane flow, which glides over hazy grunge melodies with a UK grime feel.
While most artists shoot out uptempo summer releases that compel most of us to work every muscle in the body, DEWEY QUINTON took a different direction with his latest EP ‘There’s Beauty In The Black’, dropped last month.
Airy tones accompanied with a downtempo bass dominates the five-track set, where Quinton sheds some light on the melancholic fusion, through to his relaxant flow, which is masked with an electronic effect.
This mini package may not provide those hell-raising moments in the clubs, but it is perfect for those chilled out days. With darkened soundscapes that blissfully reverberate throughout the production, the EP definitely displays that there’s beauty in the black. Check it out below:

After jumping in to the epicentre of the UK rap scene with the release of his independent Top 40 album ‘Wizville’ and the huge lead single ‘Revvin’ featuring Dizzee Rascal, OCEAN WISDOM is back with the visuals for another huge album joint ‘Ting Dun’ featuring Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man.
Sewn into very fabric of Ocean’s music output, from the tracks themselves to everything aesthetic, is pure, unadulterated hip-hop. Whilst he already boasted an impressive online following and had gained millions of views on his videos, ‘Wizville’ has been the driving force behind his recent surge in awareness and popularity. His incredible delivery and lyrical ability, teamed with first class productions and visuals fast-tracked OCEAN WISDOM to the forefront of our minds and playlists, and with the release of ‘Ting Dun’ he looks to set to remain there too.
Coming through with extraordinary execution on a beat interconnected with layers of vocal and hip-hop gold, the two wordsmiths demonstrate their mastery and inimitable styles. OCEAN WISDOM rallies into his double time flow during the course of the track whilst Meth’s mellow tone and wit is delivered with nostalgic precision.
Quickly becoming synonymous with the title of UK’s hip-hop visionary, OCEAN WISDOM takes things to new levels on this latest visual release. Grainy film effects sits over low-riders and Cadillac’s bouncing along on hydraulics against the backdrop of America’s East Coast bringing it home for hip-hop lovers and connecting both sides of the pond perfectly.
The first half of 2018 has become a monumental year for the Brighton native, having smashed a string of dates in the UK and Austria on his ‘Wizville’ tour, he also received 4/5 stars for Wizville from The Guardian. Ocean graced the 1Xtra studios and performed a historic Live Lounge alongside Dizzee Rascal for their track ‘Revvin’, which became highly playlisted by the station, and also went on to light up social networks with an exceptional cover of Busta Rhymes ‘Gimme Some More’.
Ferocious and fierce with a faultless flow, OCEAN WISDOM stays high on the agenda with ‘Ting Dun’ ft Method Man.
B. EVEREADY has recently dropped his music video for latest track ‘Always Major’, a banging joint dedicated to the true hustlers destined for greatness.
