New Music Video: Oh My Days – Sticky Blood & JiKay (ft Frisco)

oh-my-days-music-video

After making a sharp ascent in to the key list of music producers that are rocking the urban music scene in 2016, STICKY BLOOD collaborate with LA based producer JIKAY (All Trap Music / HotDamn), to drop their latest record Oh My Days featuring Boy Better Know’s Frisco.

With a deep reverb on the bass and the intermittent crashing of symbols working around the chopped and screwed synths, Frisco is the perfect addition as he brings his gritty lyricism to lace the beat. Coming with an intricate and melodic flow, the London MC sounds at ease on the Hip-Hop influenced instrumental.

STICKY BLOOD‘s experimental and visionary stance on creating new sounds has awarded them support from Red Bull, Complex, Radio 1Xtra, Clash, Wonderland, NME, Toddla T, Mistajam, Monki and many more. They have worked with numerous acts including Coco, Toddla T, Snowy and Tom Prior and, thanks to their relentless approach to creating and releasing music, have played a major part in the current surge of exciting new artists and music coming from Sheffield, Nottingham and surrounding areas.

Here’s your chance to check out the visual to Oh My Days.

EP Review: One Six – J.Kas

one-six-ep-j-kas

J.KAS calls upon his fellow musicians Alicia Renee, Bee & Ruell for his third studio EP, One Six, with the determination of carrying the summer vibe into the autumn and winter months.

Released earlier this month, the six-track collection boasts an explosive journey of dancehall grooves, Latin flair, with some laid-back old school style R&B (think Usher) – and a kick-ass football anthem.

With such variety in this mini package, there’s bound to be a track that tickle your fancy…go on, why don’t you check it out!

Album Review: A Band On Hope – A Band On Hope

a-band-on-hope

Award-winning alt hip-hop duo A BAND ON HOPE have released their 13-track album of the same name last week…and you’ve been warned; it’s not your run-of-the-mill mainstreamer.

Producer/multi-instrumentalist Kristian Sharpe and lyricist Ill Literate do not present a single dull moment. The two cleverly fuse hip hop, rock, funk, soul, blues, electro and a hint of jazz with raging guitar riffs and infectious (80-ish) flying synths which gives a respectfully wayward and futuristic feel to each offerings in the collection.

A Band on Hope is just like Marmite – you’ll either love it or hate it; there’s no in-between with this one…but the only way to find out is to hit that play button on the four-track sampler.
