Star Song: Had a Dream – Wanda

Today’s song is Had A Dream by WANDA. The track is the remix of TE and 6IX latest single of the same name.

This UK rapper was featured on NEW LEASE MUSIC back in July with his super smooth track All We Got (feat. Aimee Pace). Now he’s back with his latest track that is equally super smooth. You know what I’m going to say…HAVE A LISTEN!

If you want to hear more of this upriser, head over to his SoundCloud page….and once you get there, its well worth listening to the track I Need to Know with SIMON PEREIRA (highly recommended!)

Star Song: Signature Thoughts – Lucchi

Today’s song is Signature Thoughts by US rapper LUCCHI. The track is coming from his mixtape Feel Me Rappers, Feel Me Beats 2 (FMR FMB2) released last month.

This Radical Affairs Entertainment recruit was one of the first artists to be featured on NEW LEASE MUSIC, announcing the release of FMR FMB2.

Now the 13-track mixtape is finally here and Signature Thoughts was chosen as the song of the day, as it is a seriously atmospheric, easy-cruising track WITH some seriously hard-hitting lyrics of reality. He deserves the recognition – without a doubt- so check this guy out.

If you’re feeling Signature Thoughts, head over to his Bandcamp page and listen to the mixtape. To find out more about LUCCHI, you can head right here.

If you’re a big fan of THE MUSICAL PAPA, the chances are that you know of his highly-anticipated mixtape TC-UNO. If you don’t know this rapper, expect 14 very different tracks from the mixtape.

TC-UNO starts off real smooth, with the light and angelic Love on the Corner, Clap and Wonderful Freestyle (sampled from JA RULE/R-KELLY/ASHANTI big hit Wonderful) The mixtape switches to a slightly dark tempo with Lit and That Work. MUSICAL PAPA’s ride-to-the-beats freestyling is most appreciated in the seriously head-rolling tracks Amazed, Ligghhh and Do You. The mixtape reaches the ultimate climax with the uber-cool/hour afters GIF.

Overall TC-UNO caters for ALL serious hiphop heads. If you’re not into the dark productions, you’ll sure love his super smooth tracks (just have a listen to GIF – wicked!). Check out TC-UNO right here.

Review: ST33LO – Ikonic

1. Change (intro)
2. Get The Picture Feat. Cteck
3. Speak Ya Mind
4. 40’s Feat. WordPlay Smitty
5. Charm City
6. Kill Your Radio

Hip-hop upriser IKONIC released his mixtape ST33LO last month. The 6-track production features a vintage raw hip-hop sound, which is quite reminiscent of A TRIBE CALLED QUEST and MOS DEF. The out-of-this-world beats are coupled with thought-provoking, hard-hitting lyrics. Such lyrics are prominent in tracks Intro Change and Get The Picture (feat. Cteck).

The standout tracks of the album has got to be Speak Ya Mind and Kill Your Radio, as you get to witness this guy’s move-to-the-beat raps which perfectly washes over that chilled out, old-school hip-hop drive. A must witness!

If you’re a REAL hip hop head, your next step is to have a blast at ST33LO. If you’re a great lover of A TRIBE CALLED QUEST and MOS DEF, the chances are you will love every single track of this mixtape. Check it out here.
