Music Video: Well Done – Bella Loka

well-done-bella-loka

Husband and wife team BELLA LOKA return with a kaleidoscopic music video to double A-single Well Done, released last month.

Produced by singer/songwriter Tea Boothby, the three-and-a-half-minute production reflects the duo’s visual representation of the mental disorientation they experienced upon moving to London from their hometown of Bristol in order to further their music career.

The song describes the virtual wilderness Tea & David found themselves in after deciding to move on from their Bristol-based indie-rock band and re-invent as a Camden-based electronic alt-pop duo recording with in-house producers Rob Cass & Pearse MacIntyre at Abbey Road Studios.

Despite its traumatic origins the song is relentlessly upbeat, with singer Tea determined to “turn my pain into a song” and choosing to listen to the voice that says, “Well done, you’ve made it this far… you’re gonna make it out.”

You gonna need your sunglasses for this one…check the video for Well Done.

Armed with support from fellow musicians, Gabriel created his upcoming EP, which features a range of raw acoustic sounds with the electricity of cinematic alternative rock, used to convey both the beauty and the darker side of human existence.

The heart-warming new music video for Runaways features various footage of strangers hugging each other in public places, revealing love in it’s purest yet most powerful form – Take time out and have a quick peek.

New Music Video: Maybe We Land – Awir Leon

Minimalist electronic composer and singer AWIR LEON reveals Maybe We Land, the second of a trio of single and video packages in the lead up to his forthcoming debut LP Giants. Set to drop on 14th October, the album will be released on the pioneering label of the burgeoning Parisian beat-scene Nowadays Records.

The latest offering relates to the artist’s move from Amsterdam (where he was part of the experimental trio UNNO) to Paris, and how the period of transition often felt destructive and chaotic.  AWIR LEON’s roller coaster journey is reflected in Ian Robinson’s mesmerising visuals. Footage of dancing silhouettes set against the late night city back drop of Tel Aviv was captured by a camera attached to a moving skateboard.

Building on the success of Sitting So High, once named Song of the Week by NEW LEASE MUSIC, AWIR LEON’s latest single draws comparisons to the most avant-garde elements of acclaimed works by James Blake or Nicolas Jaar.

After making a sharp ascent in to the key list of music producers that are rocking the urban music scene in 2016, STICKY BLOOD collaborate with LA based producer JIKAY (All Trap Music / HotDamn), to drop their latest record Oh My Days featuring Boy Better Know’s Frisco.
