New Track: Without You – Cherri V

Singer/songwriter CHERRI V unveils her brand new single ‘Without You’, produced by Grammy award-winning producer Harmony (Jennifer Hudson, Maroon 5 and Ariana Grande).
CHERRI V is a storyteller and in this song the sassy songstress takes us through comedic life moments that most people can relate to!

The past 18 months have been very busy for the Londoner, who was featured on Lethal B’s top 20 hit ‘The Drop’, toured the world with several artists, and recently joined Teedra Moses on her European Paris date, and is currently putting the finishing touches on her long-awaited debut album ‘Brown Eyed Soul’. This album is her most personal and autobiographical project to date, which is why she wants to present the whole story as a complete album rather than an EP.

The beat is a beautiful soulful number that embraces the voice of CHERRI V, who releases her full repertoire of vocals on ‘Without You’ to deliver a mind-blowing performance.

‘Without You’ was premiered on DJ Ace’s, 1xtra morning show on BBC 1Xtra last week and has already got fans anticipating what will feature on ‘Brown Eyed Soul’. Prepare to be blown away by CHERRI V’s magical vocal prowess….

New Track: I’ll Be There – Greg Banks

After debuting on NEW LEASE MUSIC with the funky number, ‘Tell Me’ – featured as Song of the Day – GREG BANKS returns with a brand new single ‘I’ll Be There’, released last Friday.

Hailed as the one to watch by Deli magazine, Banks takes a detour from the kaleidoscopic mix of soul, funk, pop and rock (as featured in track, ‘Tell Me’) and opts for a buttery smooth fusion of R&B and funk, showcasing his after-hours falsetto, which is very reminiscent of the late Marvin Gaye.

Soothe over your humpday and have a listen to ‘I’ll Be There’.

New Track: $ – Sofi De La Torre

Spanish alt-R&B singer SOFI DE LA TORRE is back after the outstanding success of last year’s ‘Flex Your Way Out’ ft Blackbear single, with new track ‘$’.

With her sound described by i-D as “the swagger of Drake fused with a laid-back Lana vibe”, ‘$’ is an alt-pop slow jam about a relationship ruined by the need to impress with wealth – a superficial love. ‘$’ sees Sofi take a leaf out of J Lo’s book as she explains how you cannot buy her love, her ‘Love don’t cost a thing’.

Sofi’s moody vocals roll in with a strong message to her ex, “f**k ya money I don’t care about it”. The statement sets the tone for the single, yet her dreamy vocals in the chorus combined with the slow jam pop/R&B instrumental, reveal an undeniable vulnerability, a natural feeling at the end of a relationship.

The track was written and produced with her long-term Finnish producer Jonas Karlsson who has worked with her on many of her past successes, the first being ‘Vermillion’ which saw her garner support from Billboard, Time Magazine and The Guardian whilst Sofi’s debut album ‘Mess’ received praise from Noisey and Pop Justice. Her previous single ‘Flex Your Way Out’ feat. Blackbear saw her first spin from BBC Radio 1 courtesy of Jamz Supernova.

With the accompanying visual to ‘$’ on its way and her long-awaited debut record expected this spring, 2017 looks set to see SOFI DE LA TORRE cement her position within the empowering female-fronted scene.
