Song of the Day: Made For Me – David Versis

Slick spitter DAVID VERSIS features on today’s hotspot with smooth banger, ‘Made For Me.’

This new solo must listen mixes downtempo trap percussion with an upbeat classic hip-hop swing to match the vibes in the verse and chorus.

David’s work as a producer has seen him working alongside artists such as Wiz Khalifa, Yo Gotti, T.I. among others and landed him a Grammy nomination for Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Blacc Hollywood’.

Songs of the Day: Clouds – Dani Roberts

Hailing from Toronto Canada, singer/songwriter DANI ROBERTS’ years of developing her fusion of piano-based, alternative pop, folk and EDM has paid off.

Her debut single ‘Clouds’, released last month, has garnered 100K streams on Spotify. Produced by Kyngs, Mic Tee (AMAG/ Cash Money/ Rich Gang), and Bryan ‘BC’ Cockett, the heartfelt track was featured on New Music Friday playlists in 10 countries.

Shot in black and white, the new music video tells the story of a lifelong friendship, featuring snapshots into their lives as toddlers, teens, and young adults, as they gradually develop feelings for one another…here’s your chance to watch the visuals to the stunning ‘Clouds’.

 

Song of the Day: Tread On Me – Gold Complex (Nic Armour)

NEW LEASE MUSIC’s dish of the day is the sexy slow jam number, Tread On Me from Toronto-based classic soul/R&B/pop act GOLD COMPLEX. The single is taken from the band’s deluxe version of their self-titled debut EP.

Described by CBC’s Errol Nazareth as ‘smooth, catchy and sexy’, the dynamic octet has built a strong fanbase in Canada, headlining renowned venues and released their debut self-titled EP  in April last year. Their first two singles Tread On Me and Backbone received regular rotation on radio nationwide and were featured on the Nickelodeon television series, Open Heart, available on Netflix.

Following the national success of their debut EP, GOLD COMPLEX has brought their powerful sound to bigger audiences around the globe by releasing a Deluxe Edition with a psychedelic deep house remix of the R&B hit Tread On Me.This Soundcloud exclusive re-issue (available for free download) is a showcase of the band’s musical diversity and technical prowess, taking the listener on a journey from groovy dance tracks to soulful slow jams.

Producers Ango (LuckyMe) and Druture (Chopsquad/Grizzly) – aka – LYK (LET YOU KNOW), dropped their latest effort. Leak last month.
