With the hot summer days getting shorter by the week, fast approaching the winter season, RAYMOND WEST gives fans and new listeners a mixtape to help turn that page and close out the summer months. ‘Jerseys & Convertibles’ cruises into the function being backed by three previous singles in ‘Smoke out the Roof’, ‘4 You’ and ‘Carphones & Beepers’, bringing along four new songs for our listening pleasure.

Raymond West speaks highly on his current lifestyle throughout the tape, from his views of life to what he eats and what he maneuvers around the city in. He also aims to keep the ladies appleased with afterhours-inspired cuts such as ‘4 You’ & ‘Overheated’.

Raymond West goes out on a high with outro ‘Sweat$’, where he doesn’t pay too much attention to any worries or negativity of today and just rocks his sweats and keeps to himself. “I wanted to do a song about my everyday simple life, highlight the regular shit instead of all the flashy shit, I can wear sweats with every outfit” says West when speaking about the track.

The Westside of Atlanta, Georgia native rewarded clubs with the original version of her breakout single, and now the blooming ATL rap star follows up with an updated version and visual for the Rusremixradio-produced banger.

The sultry video has plenty of eye candy and features a verse and cameo from rap veteran Boosie BadAzz. The new single will be featured on Young TeTe’s upcoming debut mixtape, ‘Came a Long Way’. The project is slated to drop later this year and will feature Boosie BadAzz, Young Dro and more.

Following the release of his reflective new album The Rear View, Grammy-winning Hip-Hop legend DIAMOND D shares the official music video for the project’s celebratory standout ‘Live My Life’. Smooth Rapper High Nelson Drops Track, ‘Ribbon In The Sky’ + Video

HIGH NELSON continues his prodigious rise in 2022 with his third release ‘Ribbon In The Sky’, a contemporary and laid back summer heater which shows he aspose the same matter of fact and grown lyrics that he’s become well known for.

Talking on his influences, in his own words, Nelson explains, “My upbringing plays a part in the constant push and pull between right and wrong. There are many contradictions in the way I was raised by my family and the way I learned to survive outside of my household in the Bronx; these concepts live within my music.”

Being raised in the Bronx no doubt influenced High Nelson’s sound. His New York state of mind combined with rich Caribbean roots have organically fused together to create a perfect mesh of raw and authentic rap style, with a touch of easy going swagger.

‘Ribbon In The Sky’ shows High Nelson in his element, rapping effortlessly over an eclectic and beautifully produced instrumental. The artist provides a fresh viewpoint, rapping grown bars about making the correct decision in life, show Nelson as a man who has learnt from his past mistakes, matured from them and is intent on giving solid advice to a younger generation of listeners.

Album Review: Pinky’s Boy – DeShaunJay

Coming all the way from San Antonio, rapper DESHAUNJAY delivers his highly anticipated album, ‘Pinky’s Boy.’ Weighing in at a solid 16 tracks, the project saw no previous single releases as DeShaunJay gives fans the entire album in one drop.

Jay delivers solid rhymes and clever lyrics throughout the entire album over trap-esque arrangements that are often sinisterly dark coupled with chant-like overtones. The 29 year old artist shows that he could hold his own, as he takes on each beat with confidence and ease, flourishing from the first track to the one with different flows and topics, keeping the prospective listener engaged at all times.
