Mixtape Review: The Blue Tape 2 – Dizzy Rambunctious

Following the release of mixtape ‘Wond3rland’ in March, DIZZY RAMBUNCTIOUS isn’t messing around and slams another one, this time entitled ‘The Blue Tape 2’.

The title of the nine-set project pretty much gives it all away with occasional jazz-esque tones alluringly meeting the New Jersey producer’s trademark – that bombastic bassline.

Although there are a few great tracks, I’m not sure that this mixtape has the same oomph as its predecessor, ‘Wond3rland‘. Have a listen and see what you think – and don’t be afraid to comment below!

Must Listens: Days, Sazon, Sunshine Notes.

New Track: A Song I Made With My Friend Chappy Inspired by Travis Scott – Manic Phase

21-year-old upcoming spitter MANIC PHASE presents his latest track, ‘A Song I Made With My Friend Chappy, Inspired by Travis Scott’ ( I’m not kidding here, this is really the name of the song.)

The Ohio college student’s new offering is a remix of Travis Scott’s single, ‘ A Man’. Why don’t you guys go ahead and show some support; check it out.

New Track: Rain – Turya

South London-born singer/songwriter/composer T U R Y A has unveiled her stunning debut single ‘Rain’, from her forthcoming album ‘Ocean’, out later in the year.

Nicki Wells, the person behind T U R Y A, takes inspiration from Indian Classical Music, which she studied as a teenager in India. The name comes from Turiya, a Sanskrit word, meaning a state of pure consciousness, the silence one experiences after sound. This influence is certainly echoed throughout the new single, which has been featured in Ridley Scott’s ‘Life In The Day (India)’.

Singing primarily in English, ‘Ocean’ is a body of work and debut material representing an artist who is vast in her range, and clear in her emotional appeal. It brings out the bluesy sweetness of
T U R Y A’s vocals, and the beauty within simplicity.

The ball is in your court…have a listen to the first installment of the upcoming album (highly recommended).

New Track: I Don’t Think They Understand – EyeZay Yah

Coming from Orlando, Florida hip-hop duo EYEZAY YAH have recently dropped a slick number, ‘I Don’t Think They Understand’, just in time for those crazy summer months…if you’re digging this track, keep it locked on NEW LEASE MUSIC, as these guys have plenty more sizzlers in the pipeline.
