Song of the Day: Chasing the Dream – Que

Que Chasing the Dream

Here’s the second song of the day – Chasing the Dream by QUE. This track is coming from his upcoming mixtape, Prosperity.

This teenage upriser from Milwaukee, WI grew up listening to LIL’ WAYNE, TUPAC and BOB MARLEY as well as watching his cousins rap – and wanted piece of the action. In 2009, he started out professionally and joined forces with 3D Entertainment and Tone Struck Records where he wrote and produced, Can’t Keep Running Away. The track address teenagers who experienced bullying or child molestation. Can’t Keep Running Away earned QUE a spot on Ebony, Jet and Billboard magazine.

Earlier this year he released, Gotta Bad Chick, an on-point dance number  that took his career to new heights.

Have a listen to Chasing the Dream – because this track proves that he deserves the escalating hype. If you’re feeling this track, why don’t you head over to his SoundCloud page and get to know this guy!

Song of the Day: Edge Of The Cliff – Amor Fatiii

Amor Fatiii

Today’s song is Edge Of The Cliff by AMOR FATIII. The track will be a part of his upcoming EP Black Sheep.

From the age of nine, this Tennessee-born hip upriser started rapping after being inspired by BOW WOW’s debut album, Beware of Dog. So he started churning out tracks in hope of grabbing a huge fanbase. So there you have it – listen to Edge Of the Cliff. This track definitely deserves a trial as this hip hopper’s laid back, NAS-esque raps just cruises through the relaxing-in-the-summer production – go on, just take a moment and listen to this guy.

Long Island rapper KALI MAC is more than ready to show his worth in the hip hop game – to his haters (and put the island on the map – his words!) – through his latest mixtape, The Underdog 2, released earlier this month.

This 13 track production features the beat-swinging Hello, the perfect introduction to what this upriser is made of. It gets better with super smooth track Smoke Sum’n where his slow-motion, doped up raps speeds up at a switch of a light. This laid back/sped up raps continues (coupled with determined lyrics) in another equally super smooth angelic Before I Die– #mustlisten. The Underdog 2, hypes up with the electrifying track All We Got and returns to the smooth, old school/kick-off-your-shoes-and-relax-your-feet beats with the track Last Breath.

With this mixtape, KALI MAC shows that he’s no underdog – but that’s just my opinion. What you think? Well check out The Underdog 2 right here.
