Quad Zerimar Pays Homage To Cyprus With New Single, ‘Cyprus / the Way of Water’.

UK rapper QUAD ZERIMAR takes another step on his world tour, this time to melodically describe his experience in Cyprus with single, ‘Cyprus / the Way of Water’.

A vibrant, dreamy fusion fusion of pop and hip-pop, ‘Cyprus / the Way of Water’ references the infamously amazing cypriot sunsets, local gastronomy and Quad Zerimar takes a relaxing, but deep dive into the aquatic life of the island. The cover art is inspired by the film ‘Avatar – The Way of Water’ and the catchy hook of the song narrates a vision of the underwater life in Cyprus… one reminiscent of the Metkayina clan in Avatar.

The follow-up to his single, ‘Madeira’, which pays homage to the island, ‘Cyprus / the Way of Water’ has been recognised by Cyprus tourist websites and shared to accompany videos of the island. The melodic single has gained over 350 followers on Spotify and was chosen for a playlist with over 145,000 listeners. Have a listen below…

‘Love Like Tomorrow’ was written and produced by MiParis label owner and executive producer Michael Upshaw, with Jeff Adams as co-producer and writer.

The single forms part of ‘MiParis Smooth Jazz Compilation Vol.1’, which is out now on all music platforms. The seven-track project includes Mark A. Walker’s highly received singles, ‘Duke’s Stroll’ and ‘Let Me Breathe’. The soothing vibes of ‘Let Me Breathe’ was on constant rotation on radio stations across the globe.

Coming from a family of musicians, it comes to no surprise that Jeff Adams’ passion for music came at an early age. As a child, he would create an instrument from any object he could find! This led Jeff Adams receiving a set of bongos as a present at the age of just four.

Just like any other creditable artist in the US, Jeff Adams musical journey started at his local church, where he learned to play the piano, drums and bass guitar. Jeff’s passion for music ventured outside of the church walls and into the recording arena as an engineer and producer, live sound engineer, and professional musician.

Although he broaden his horizons outside the church, Jeff’s love and support for God and his church did not stray away for long. He currently serves as Music/Band Director at Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church in Washington, DC, where he had the opportunity to work many artists including: the late Darryl Coley, the late Walter Hawkins, Fantasia Barrino, Lisa Page Brooks, Vickie Winans, Marvin Sapp, the late LaShun Pace, James Hall, Jessica Reedy, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Karen ClarkSheard, Twinkie Clark, Sherri Jones-Moffet, Beverly Crawford, VaShawn Mitchell, Donnie McClurkin and Shirley Caesar.

Song of the Day: Filtered Reality – Ellie Burke

Liverpool-based singer/songwriter ELLIE BURKE‘s latest single, ‘Filtered Reality’ invites you into her world anxiety and insecurities caused by social media, documenting how it affected her negatively due to the filtered images and narratives that lead to unrealistic lifestyle and expectations.

Ellie Burke wrote ‘Filtered Reality’ as part of her university dissertation. She took an educated approach by researching and speaking to individuals who were struggling from mental health problems from cyberbullying and self-comparison to the filtered realities portrayed online.

“A girl spoke about how social media exasperated her eating disorder due to the negative content that was easily accessible. Another account discussed how cyberbullying ruined their mental health and well being. This is where my idea of ‘Filtered Reality’ came from,” says Ellie.
