JENNA DEVRIES – FLAT EARTH

Nashville-based singer-songwriter JENNA DEVRIES‘ new single ‘Flat Earth’ isn’t flirting with conspiracy theories — it leans into them, using them like a funhouse mirror to show how heartbreak twists reality. The “flat earth” isn’t just a wild idea — it’s a metaphor for doubt, for the way your mind stretches to make sense of something you thought was solid but wasn’t.

The verses — “Maybe there was no man on the moon / Maybe birds are too good to be true / Powers that be aren’t what they seem / And you never really loved me” and “Maybe aliens built the pyramids / And Atlantis is where they all hid / In the depths so nobody believes / And you never really loved me” — float through impossible scenarios, almost playful, before folding back into that one quiet sting.

The conspiracies aren’t literal — they’re the emotional logic of someone trying to explain love that never existed. When the thing you trusted most turns out to be false, suddenly even the strangest ideas start to feel possible.

‘Flat Earth’ was released last Friday (24th April) across all leading music platforms. Have a listen below…

DAVE LENAHAN – FIRST

DAVE LENAHAN‘s new single ‘First’ is a heartfelt country ballad that explores love through the lens of vulnerability—the quiet fear of losing the person who means everything. Rooted in a traditional country sound, Dave’s emotional delivery shines throughout, especially in lines like “Hand in hand together till the end of time / But we can’t live forever, life is so unfair,” and the striking chorus confession, “I don’t wanna live a day without you on this Earth / I wanna go first.” The track also features Taylin Rae, whose harmonies add a beautiful emotional counterpoint.

‘First’ was released last Thursday (23rd April) via all leading music platforms. Have a listen below…

DANIEL LEYES – HA HA WEED IS LEGAL + STONER MATING CALL

DANIEL LEYES shares two singles – ‘Ha Ha Weed Is Legal’ and Stoner Mating Call’ – for your pleasure!

‘Ha Ha Weed Is Legal’ is a celebratory anthem about cannabis legalization and cultural change. Inspired by New Jersey’s legalization and shaped by humor and social commentary, the track embraces freedom and challenges outdated prohibition with playful defiance.

‘Stoner Mating Call’ is a soulful, lighthearted love song built around a simple opening line: “Mama – if you wanna smoke some marijuana, honey I’m the man for you.” It blends humor and warmth into a relaxed, character-driven track.

XO SOUNDTRACK – CLOSE

XO SOUNDTRACK is back with another instantly addictive release, ‘Close,’ a track that pulses with emotion just beneath its glossy surface. From the first few seconds, it locks into a nostalgic groove, blending shimmering synth pop textures with an alt pop edge that feels straight out of early The 1975, but still distinctly its own.

‘Close’ was released last Thursday (23rd April) via all leading music platforms. Listen below:

BULLET BRAK – TAPPED IN

BULLET BRAK has dropped his newest project, ‘Tapped In,’ and it’s already making noise—debuting at #43 on the iTunes Global Hip-Hop charts within 24 hours.

This release delivers raw energy, sharp lyricism, and a fully locked-in sound that reflects Brak at his most focused. Tapped In is more than a title—it’s a statement. Check it out below…

Song of the Day: Make You Sad – Michaela Slinger

Co-written with JUNO award-winning Kevvy (Carly Rae Jepsen, Fake Shark) and two-time Polaris Prize listed Louise Burns (Haley Blais), MICHAELA SLINGER‘s single, ‘Make You Sad’, reflects on how we glorify relationships that appear easy or effortless, when—in reality—relationships with no attempt to try and really understand each other are destined to leave people feeling empty.

Through her honey glazed vocals, the Canadian singer/songwriter imagines the person inside of the song’s relationship dynamic is describing it as “effortless” to outsiders who interpret that as proof of a happy couple, while it’s actually tormenting the person inside.

Upcoming Release: Stand Up – Alice Night Circus

Julia Scott, the brainchild behind ALICE’S NIGHT CIRCUS delivers an upcoming piece that’s (personally) totally unexpected and angelically pure…

With the organ leading to explosive soundscapes, boasting gentle pop sensibilities and the guitar providing a soft rock – ish vibe, ‘Stand Up’, showcases the Sheffield singer’s gentile vocal instrumental which – out of nowhere – roars with intense power that is arguably on par with the likes of Florence and The Machine and Carrie Underwood.

‘Stand Up’ will be out from 25th August on all download/streaming sites. Have a listen to this truly stunning single that will send your entire body into shock of excitement….

New Track: The Scarlet Letter – Love Ghost

Teenage alt rock band LOVE GHOST makes a second return with their brand new single ‘The Scarlet Letter.’

Their lengthy piece speaks out on behalf of Young Americans who feel labeled or experienced any form of discrimination, accompanied by a combination of the lack-back guitar plucks, drumming and emotive violin.

Since their last appearance with single ‘Friday Afternoon’ back in October, the quartet have been named Music Connection’s Hot 100 Unsigned Bands for 2017 and their performance of ‘Forgive Me’ on Balcony TV is currently the number one voted video of all-time.

They’ve been the opening act for such high-profile bands as Smash Mouth, The Young Dubliners, Buckcherry, Berlin, Ozomatli and The Tubes. Now the guys have recently finished their first album which is geared up for release this spring.

Iron out your Monday and check out ‘The Scarlet Letter.’
