LaDé Unleashed Her Sultry Debut Single ‘Teaser’

Congolese/Canadian singer and songwriter LADÉ  carries on the Valentines – or should I say – anti-Valentines theme this weekend with her bold and sensual debut single, Teaser’. Written and produced with burgeoning Ottawa-based artist and musician Jeff Sanon, ‘Teaser’ gives a sneak preview of what to expect from her upcoming debut EP, set to be released in the summer.

Backed by lush minimalist R&B musical soundscapes, LaDé uses her new track ‘Teaser’ to showcase her enchanting and sultry vocal performance, sensual harmonies, and captivating songwriting dexterities that combine beautifully to deliver an infectious and undeniably smooth R&B masterclass.

Speaking about the inspiration for ‘Teaser’, LaDé says, “The song is about the desire to become a better version of yourself after experiencing a rather toxic relationship, and then showing off that better version to the infamous ex, because your best revenge is your comeback. It’s a true story about my recovery process after a particular bad break up. We tend to subconsciously allow how other people, specifically our significant others, view us, what they think of us and do to us, depreciate our value as individuals but ‘Teaser’ is my way of reminding an ex-lover of what they lost and will never get back – a temporary tease for one night if you will. The track is about growing mentally, physically, and spiritually after experiencing a relationship that negatively impacted your life, and unapologetically displaying that growth”.

Listen To Talitha Ferri’s Stunning New Single, ‘Home’

Steeped in heartache and bravado, ‘Home’ finds TALITHA FERRI caught between the sweet surrender of love and the inability to move beyond her own trauma. Held in an intimate embrace of another, both parties endlessly pursue and resist one another. The singer strips down for her lover, asking him to lie with her, but not to touch. She begs him to hold her, but to keep his distance.

‘Home’ is an exploration of the fear of – and the craving for – intimacy. The age old dance between two lovers bound together by the sacred oath of an unspoken agreement: not to ruin a perfect friendship with love. The gentle flutter of an aching heart, longing to heal, to hold, and be held.

‘Home’ is the first single off Talitha Ferri’s debut album ‘Get Well Soon’, a personal project turned concept album.

Rocky Questions The Ups And Downs Of Relationships With Debut Single, ‘How Will I Know’

Drawing comparisons with greats such as Nina Simone, Erykah Badu, and Billie Holiday, as well as future legends like Janelle Monae and Macy Gray, South Korea-based songstress, ROCKY has released her exquisite new offering ‘How Will I Know’, the first taste of her anticipated debut project – set for release early 2020 – with a second single coming next month.

Produced by Defnelson and written by ROCKY herself, the single tackles the common question “are they into me?” as it explores the good and the bad of relationships and situationships, the song lets you know when to cut the person you’re dating off. ROCKY’s raspy jazz vocals are offset by dark hip hop instrumentals, creating the perfect mood for a song about love in the dating apocalypse.

Alongside her exciting new music, ROCKY recently published her first poetry book titled ‘Blue Bird’, which saw the Montreal native exploring themes around blackness, womanhood, freedom, self-love, and their intersectionalities, to rave reviews. However her creative outlets don’t end there, she also appeared in Korean TV drama series WWW earlier this summer, and has performed in three burlesque plays, produced by Starlight Burlesque, including last year’s WWC Superstars and Open Letters, and last month’s acclaimed P.U.S.S.I Whipped.
