New Music Video: Teen No More – Sub Blue

SUB BLUE, shares another slice of his life with ‘Teen No More’, produced by acclaimed US producers A.V and Sir Dylan

‘Teen No More’ features minimalist electronic R&B production topped with emotive vocals by the young  Alt-R&B prospect, as he explores the issues of growing into early ‘adulthood’ and everything that brings with it.

Speaking of his latest release, SUB BLUE said: “I wrote ‘Teen No More’ about the fear of growing up and having to accept full responsibility for everything we do. [As teens] We often live our life not really thinking or knowing what can happen next but we have the confidence to know we are going to make things happen. That’s the kind of theme here”

Taking his name from his self-described style of music, “suburban blues”, Sub Blue offers a fresh take on chilled out, alternative introspective R&B. The visuals for his past effort, ‘Hype Like Supreme.’ was named Music Video of the Month back in January by NEW LEASE MUSIC.

New Track: Range Rover – Sub Blue

Liverpool’s most exciting Alt-R&B prospect, SUB BLUE, shares another slice of his life with ‘Range Rover’, produced by Xamvolo.

Taking his name from his self-described style of music, “suburban blues”, SUB BLUE offers a fresh take on chilled out, alternative introspective R&B. Following up his hypebeast inspired debut ‘Hype Like Supreme’, the Merseyside based singer-songwriter delivers another scene setting song – giving a further insight into his world. The visual to ‘Hype Like Supreme’ currently holds the blog’s Music Video of the Month title.

‘Range Rover’ features Sub Blue’s velvety smooth vocals over moody production as he laments on the challenges that him and his peers experience trying to make sense of their world where perception is often more important than truth and happiness is often represented by superficial things.

‘Range Rover’ is the first song taken from his forthcoming EP, ‘Suburban View’, which delves into these themes even more. The EP is produced by the likes of Sir Dylan (Weeknd, Solange, Logic), A.V (Frank Ocean) and XamVolo, and is a glimpse at the life of teens trying to find their place in the world, while navigating peer and social pressure and trying to define their own voice.

EP Review: Thunder In The Desert – Amique

AMIQUE‘s self-produced EP, ‘Thunder In The Desert’, explores the realms of spirituality along with love, loneliness and fear, alternating between the richness of soulful gospel and his holistic-ish/hazy take on modern R&B/soul.

His five-track teaser will go down treat with massive fans of Janet Jackson’s, ‘I Get Lonely’, as he put a take-it-to-the-church spin on the 90s hit. ‘I’m Wondering’ and ‘Forbidden Love’ display his holistic approach to modern R&B/soul with the haziness of the guitar plucks giving off that subtle  Prince-esque rock sensation.

With this small set, AMIQUE has built up just enough curiosity, through his well-controlled falsetto, for you to look out for his next move – check it out.
