Polish Rapper Schafter Taps UK’s Newcomer Houston X For New Track ‘Need Help.’

With all the chaos that 2020 has presented, this didn’t stop rappers SCHAFTER and HOUSTON X from dropping one hot collaboration titled, ‘Need Help’.

A refreshing and electric trap-wave combo, ‘Need Help’ kicks off with rhythmic percussion which is layered by synthy impressions where the pair deliver fresh and flex worthy verses that detail their flashy lifestyles and fly-boy ways.

The accompanied video-shot in Warsaw and London – embodies the theme of the track which is inspired by the idea of trying to get away from something but being unable to.

Quickly becoming a phenomena in his country’s ever-evolving hip-hop scene, Schafter is known for his take on melodic trap. Last year, he burst onto the scene with ‘Hot Coffee’ which accumulated over 27,000,000 streams on Spotify alone. UK’s upcomer Houston has built a steady cult following for his distinct, genre-defying sounds, ranging from hip-hop, R&B to rock and pop. Houston X was previously featured on NEW LEASE MUSIC with track, ‘Scarlett Red’

The Hamiltones Have A ‘Message To America’ In Latest Video

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was considered a landmark achievement of the Civil Rights Movement. While there have been many strides made since then, there’s still much more progress to be made in the fight for racial justice and equality 56 years later. This year has seen one of the biggest moments of reckoning for racial inequality and injustice in US recent history.

The Grammy-nominated viral R&B/Soul sensations, THE HAMILTONES keep the momentum going by letting their voices be heard, and encouraging others to do the same, in the new music video for their single ‘Message to America’, debuted on their YouTube channel last night (10/5/2020).

‘Message To America’ is from The Hamiltones’ powerful new album ‘1964’, which was released on the 57th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s iconic ‘I Have A Dream’ speech at the March on Washington, and the 65th anniversary of the high-profile death of Emmett Till. With features from rapper Petey Pablo, and a recording from Congressman John Lewis, ‘1964’ serves as a timely tribute to the Civil Rights Movement in the U.S., while providing a moving soundtrack to the current global movement for racial justice and equality.

French Disco Synth-Pop Band Le Couleur Shares ‘Silenzio’ Video

Hot off the back of the release of their album Concorde, released earlier this moth via Lisbon Lux Records, French disco synth-pop band LE COULEUR shares video for their single, ‘Silenzio’

Directed by the independent film director Ariel Poupart, the music video for ‘Silenzio’ has the beat picking up and flanged guitars take centre stage. ‘Silenzio’ is about death on the prowl, depicted as a betrayal in the mafia that ends with “il bacio della morte” (the kiss of death). Life and death is a powerful duality, but try as hard as we might, there’s no escaping the latter’s inexorable victory.

Director Ariel Poupart shares the concept behind the music video: “For Silenzio, we wanted to recreate the cabaret atmosphere of gangster films to match the song’s lyrics. We also went for the colour palettes and textures of Giallo films, that is to say the very saturated gore of Italian murder mystery films of the 70s.”

Currently based in Montreal, Canada, Le Couleur is led by Vietnamese-Canadian singer Laurence Giroux-Do and consists of Laurence, Patrick Gosselin (Bass, keyboard and guitar) and Steeven Chouinard (Drums and sequence programming). When finding inspiration for their sound that crosses the borders of synth-pop, nu-disco and French pop, Le Couleur turns to the likes of The Beatles, Bowie, Steroalab, Queen, Led Zeppelin and LCD Soundsystem. Their own remarkable sound draws closer parallels to the likes of Róisín Murphy, ABBA and Sébastien Tellier.

Le Couleur has received significant support across the globe, having been featured in publications such as The Fader, Noisey, All Music, Flaunt Mag, Brooklyn Vegan, Exclaim!, mxdwn, Atwood Magazine, Beats Per Minute, NOVU, CBC Music,  and Made In Shoreditch . The band is currently sitting at over 10.9 million plays across streaming platforms with features on noteworthy Youtube channels. Le Couleur has been nominated multiple times and won the GAMIQ prize for the ‘Best Electronic EP of the Year’ while their latest album ‘(P.O.P)’ was selected among 40 Canadian albums on the Polaris Music Long List.
