New Music Video: Falling – Turya

Singer, songwriter and composer artist T U R Y A reveals her brand new music video ‘Falling’, the second single from her forthcoming debut album ‘Ocean’ released via Kobalt Music. Directed by Alexander Boethius and filmed in Siberia, the video embodies T U R Y A’ s now distinct, signature style.

Drawing inspiration from T U R Y A’ s worldly experiences, the video paints a deeply personal portrait of the artist’s current journey and feelings. ‘Falling’ shows a more honest, darker side compared to the ethereal, bittersweet debut single ‘Rain’. The video is a powerful vehicle that takes the viewer into a shamanic world of nature, harmony and freedom, far away from the conflicts of the modern world. Her distinctive vocals float bewitchingly over the emotive soundscape and visuals, resonating with depth and meaning.

Tonight, Londoner TURYA will be performing ‘Falling’ and other tracks from her forthcoming album ‘Ocean’ live for the first time at The Slaughtered Lamb, London. After the cult success of her debut single ‘Rain’ which came out earlier this year, T U R Y A has undergone a total artistic evolution, introducing raw, poignant and personal explorations with her debut album, transitioning into the artist she has always wanted to be.

‘Falling’ is now available on Spotify…but first watch the video to the stunning single.

New Music Video: Be With You – Jessica Agombar

Rising east London singer-songwriter JESSICA AGOMBAR gave the music scene a taste of her addictive, one of a kind R&B sounds when she released her debut EP ‘Bullet For Your Love: Chapter 1’ earlier this year. With the EP seeing her mixing smooth R&B stylings with grittier hip-hop and grime sounds, Jessica returns with the captivating visual for one of the project’s tracks – the hypnotic ‘Be With You’.

Already picking-up support from the likes of Noisey – who described her sound as ‘infectious’ – Radio 1 and 1Xtra DJs MistaJam and DJ Target, collaborating with the likes of Iain James (Craig David, Emeli Sandé, Wretch 32) and Levi Lennox (Zayn Malik) and just recently signing a publishing deal with Stella Songs and Sony/ATV, Jessica quickly caught the attention of music fans and credible music outlets with the release of her debut EP.

Comprising a collection of 5 songs written by Jessica herself, featuring production from some of the UK’s freshest and hottest, new production talent and gaining support from Spotify on their ‘New Music Friday’ playlist, the ‘Bullet For Your Love: Chapter 1’ EP is a soulful journey of love and loss from Jessica’s own personal experience, telling the story of being in love with the wrong kind of guy and the highs and lows that can bring.

With the debut of her new visual, an already rapidly growing fanbase and the promise of new music coming soon, JESSICA AGOMBAR is on course to end the year with a bang which only signals huge things for 2018. Stay tuned!

New Music Video: Pain Killer – Torii Wolf

Premiered on Billboard, TORII WOLF‘s video for, latest single ‘Pain Killer’ documents the past struggles she has endured.

Produced by OVO’s Mike Zombie (of Drake’s ‘Started From The Bottom’ & DJ Khaled’s ‘They Don’t Love You No More’ featuring Jay-Z, French Montana, Meek Mill & Rick Ross fame), ‘Pain Killer’ is the audio equivalent of an opioid, replete with Torii’s pleas to euthanize her anguish, yet so ultimately stimulating it creates a high you can’t stop craving.

Speaking of her  latest single, Torii explains: “If anyone has ever had any substance abuse problems, or has used in the past at all, you feel this feeling of needing something. This dependency on getting high and these drugs, so to speak, are what we need so badly; end up turning on us,” Torii commented to Billboard. “They don’t care about us is what it feels like, you use them too much, it ends up biting you and hurting you either way. You need to get high and the only thing that can get you high is that drug and sometimes you’re high and it still doesn’t feel good anymore. And the same thing with a person–some relationships feel that way.

‘Pain Killer’ is from her solo debut EP ‘Flow Riiot’, released via DJ Premier’s TTT (To The Top) imprint. The 15 track collection is now out on all digital platforms.

But for now, it’s time to check out the video…

New Track: Caroline – Shaefri

‘Caroline’ definitely hits a raw nerve with London-based singer/songwriter SHAEFRI. With atmospheric soundcapes coupled with the stunningly soft/heartfelt vocals, the latest single tells the story of witnessing someone close hitting the self-destruct button – and feeling powerless to save them.

On her most personal release to date, SHAEFRI explains: “I wrote Caroline the day after I received a phone call saying someone close to me was in hospital after overdosing. I cried the whole day but I was also so angry with her for letting it happen. I was so afraid for her life. I felt guilty for not being there when it had happened, that I couldn’t stop her from doing it, and no longer being able to help. Every time it happens, there’s less of a person left to put back together.”

Following the success of previous releases, ‘Pixelate’, ‘Monster, ‘Rabbit Hole’, and ‘Give It All’, SHAEFRI has seen an influx of support from Clash, DIY, and Hattie Pearson at Radio X, whilst her unique brand of haunting vocals and minimalistic beats have seen sold-out performances at venues, such as The Old Blue Last and Notting Hill Arts Club.

‘Caroline’ is the last installment of her EP ‘Cracks’…have a listen to this powerful piece…
