Growing up leading worship and ministering regularly in church, this shaped her distinctive style, her confident stage presence and developed her vocals into the powerful sound she exhibits today. Attending Elam, for college helped her solidify knowledge as an artist and in navigating the music industry.
Back in May, rapper ALASKA & producer JASON GRIFF dropped their ‘Gerasco’ EP, and among the many standout songs was ‘Vanity Plates’ featuring Alex Ludovico. The song immediately caught the attention of fellow former Def Jux labelmate Yak Ballz, who asked for the instrumental to rap on – maybe just for the fun of it. However, moments like that are what get the wheels of creativity spinning – inspiring Alaska and Griff to bring back Ludovico with a fresh verse and join a murderer’s row of artists to lace the song with their own bars.
