New Track: I Told You – Loick Essien

LOICK ESSIEN makes his 2018 return with the release of  single ‘I Told You’, premiered via GRM Daily.

After exploding on the scene with his Number 2 hit single ‘How We Roll’ featuring Tanya Lacey back in 2011, LOICK ESSIEN has spent years perfecting his craft and working with some musical greats in the UK, US and Africa. Most recently he released his ‘Terminal 5’ project which featured Stefflon Don & Stormzy. After taking a brief hiatus from the scene to focus on himself and his music, he is back to make some noise this year. Kicking things off with the first release of the year, ‘I Told You’, which lays bare his frustrations with the music industry and struggles he has faced over the years.

Embarking on new musical journey, Loick has recently signed with Defigo Management (Double S, Crumz, 1DA) and it working with them to create a more musical magic, with an open and honest sound. He has an arsenal of music and some massive collaborations ready to go, so get ready to hear lots more from the uber talented Loick….

New Track: Come Over (Remix) – Ricardo Williams (ft. J Warner, Jordan King & Mark Asari)

Following the release of single ‘Come Over’, RICARDO WILLIAMS joined forces with fellow UK RnB peers J Warner, Jordan King and Mark Asari for the remix of the single, premiered on DJ Ace’s ‘Everything RnB’ show on 1Xtra last week.

Speaking of his latest collaboration, the Birmingham belter singer says “I honestly feel like it’s such a great time for UK RnB right now with so many talented artists in our own backyard. This remix is for the culture. I am a big fan of the 3 of them and the fact that I got them all on the same song is crazy! But it just goes to show, RnB is back and definitely here to stay!”

2018 is going to be a non-stop year for Ricardo. ‘Come Over’ is the first release from his upcoming EP ‘Intermission’ set to be dropped later in the year. The year will also see him place an emphasis on spending as much time as possible doing what he loves; performing live. He will be supporting Faith Evans on her UK tour in April and he will be performing at DJ Ace’s RnB Showcase at Liverpool’s prestigious Sound City Festival in May.

New Track: The Scarlet Letter – Love Ghost

Teenage alt rock band LOVE GHOST makes a second return with their brand new single ‘The Scarlet Letter.’

Their lengthy piece speaks out on behalf of Young Americans who feel labeled or experienced any form of discrimination, accompanied by a combination of the lack-back guitar plucks, drumming and emotive violin.

Since their last appearance with single ‘Friday Afternoon’ back in October, the quartet have been named Music Connection’s Hot 100 Unsigned Bands for 2017 and their performance of ‘Forgive Me’ on Balcony TV is currently the number one voted video of all-time.

They’ve been the opening act for such high-profile bands as Smash Mouth, The Young Dubliners, Buckcherry, Berlin, Ozomatli and The Tubes. Now the guys have recently finished their first album which is geared up for release this spring.

New Track: Brown Sugar – Rozie

After working hard on her project, Canadian singer/songwriter ROZIE is ready to release…

Her first instalment comes in the form of a brand new single ‘Brown Sugar’, which sports  sun-kissed soundscapes with a tinge of Tom Misch-esque R&B/soul.

Her musical journey wasn’t an easy ride. After writing a record and putting out an album, somehow she felt unfulfilled. Now under the creative direction of producer Waspy from Dirty Radio – who fine tuned her vision – ROZIE could be on the come up with her new-found soulful trademark.

New Track: Found – Nick Ryan

His 2016 track ‘Strings’ earned him the Song of the Week title by NEW LEASE MUSIC…now, after a long spell away from the limelight, RICK RYAN returns with his latest track, ‘Found’.

Continuing the theme from his previous offering, the three-and-a-half-minute banger boasts the ambient presence of hip-hop, with Ryan’s electronically enhanced vocals punching colour into the chilled out production.
