Song of the Day: Baby x3 – WallyPDF

WALLYPDF, otherwise known as Wally Sajimi, forms a completely idysocranic musical project. Originally from New Jersey, he now resides across New York, Los Angeles, and Portugal, bringing a complexion of lavish lofi tunes to life in an extraordinarily unique way.

Sporting lavishing lofi tones sweep across his unique soundscape, paired up with blissful beats with the tantalizing tones of calmness and electronica, his latest effort, “babyx3” grows into a mellow soundtrack that would find a home in a sunstoked coffee house, or the earbuds of a budding scholar. With musical influences varying from Jay Z to Brandy, WallyPDF proves there are truly no limits to his creativity.

Having recently signed with Downtown Music, he continues to develop exponentially as an artist. With over 300,000 monthly listeners and streaming numbers hitting the millions, he’s becoming a frontier for technology-immersed music. In 2021, he made the Forbes 30 Under 30 Class of 2021, and has also founded several companies, including Nietzsche Labs and an NFT company, Minti. Alongside his work in music, he also helps with Creative Direction for Azuki and co-founder of Jewellery company Her Children, hitting worldwide stores with Euphoria’s finest Angus Cloud as the face of the brand.

Pop Innovator BAYLI Shares New Single, ‘Act Up’

Brooklyn artist and songwriter BAYLI today returns with her new single ‘act up’ via her own self-titled label. The single arrives with a vibrant video shot in BAYLI’s native NY by director Kimber-Lee Alston. Dressed in the freshest fits, the playful love story sees BAYLI cross the city as she tries to win her girlfriend back.

Alongside the release of the vibrant track, BAYLI announced her latest EP Stories 2, with the project slated for release later this month (21st October). The follow up to 2021’s stories from new york, the six-track EP was written on the road and takes in themes spanning heartbreak, addiction, loneliness and self-discovery. ‘act up’ is joined on the project by intimate recent release ‘think of drugs’ and BAYLI’s unstoppable gay anthem ‘TELLY BAG’, which landed earlier this year to acclaim from the likes of i-D, DAZED, The Fader, PAPER and CLASH

BAYLI first made waves in 2016 as the frontwoman of the punk band The Skins, where her infectious melodies and signature songwriting were cultivated under the mentorship of music guru Rick Rubin. Now an independent artist, BAYLI’s musical output is as equally pop as it is R&B, rock, & punk, all delivered with a fierce stylish edge and unabashed confidence. Hailing from Brooklyn, NYC is her lifeblood, inspiring her fearless take on what it means to be an artist in the 21st century. BAYLI released her debut EP stories from new york last year featuring the unstoppable singles ‘boys lie’, ‘sushi for breakfast’, ‘foreigner’ and more. With support this year from the likes of Spotify (BAYLI was their EQUAL Ambassador for June), BBC Radio 1, i-D, Telfar, DAZED, Interview Magazine, The Face, Fader, CLASH, Foundation FM, The Line of Best Fit, PAPER, NYLON, Billboard and more, the future looks bright for BAYLI.

Rockness Monsta Teams Up With General Steele and Ruste Juxx For Track ‘Shark Tank’

Since making his mark in the ‘90s through the early aughts as a part of the legendary Boot Camp Clik and one half of rap duo Heltah Skeltah, Rock (also known as the ROCKNESS MONSTA) has been conservative with solo efforts– 2017’s Rockness AP remains his sole full-length solo album. But with a newly formed alliance between him and new label American B-Boy Records, the Brooklyn emcee has been gearing up for his sophomore project Ether Rocks for the better part of 2022.

Now, after releasing five album singles with accompanying visuals throughout the year, the late, great Sean Price’s former partner in rhyme taps General Steele and Ruste Juxx for the sixth Ether Rocks single ‘Shark Tank’, and finally announces the album’s official release date exclusively via Rock The Bells.

With guest appearances from Method Man, Steele of Smif-N-Wessun, Ruste Juxx, among others, Ether Rocks is produced entirely by Ron Browz (Nas’s “Ether,” Jim Jones’s “Pop Champagne”) and will release on all DSPs, CD and vinyl on 21st October via American B-Boy Records/Fat Beats.
