Song of the Day: Murphy’s Law – Chersea

On surface, CHERSEA‘s debut single, Murphy’s Law’ may be full of pop blissfulness, but don’t get caught up in the hypnotic arrangements: scratch that surface a little deeper and you’re presented with a rather powerful message that make us step back for a minute and reevaluate our thoughts…

The Canadian singer/songwriter aims to serve as the voice of victim liberation. Through the three-minute production, she also urges us to reach out and try to understand those who have experienced similar traumas, in order to restore faith and provide a fresh perspective in the system of victim support.

CHERSEA is set to release her debut LP on Fierce Panda Panada later in 2018…but for now, listen to ‘Murphy’s Law’.

Song of the Day: Looking For You – Steele

STEELE ‘s latest dark pop number ‘Looking For You’, seamlessly fuses elements of post-rock and trip-hop with electro pop. Likened to Imogen Heap and Bjork but with her own recognisable stamp, the Swedish alt-songbird is raising eyebrows around the globe.

She was featured in Rolling Stone – three times – and also appeared at Elle’s 2017 fashion show, which put her at the brink of something huge but tragedy struck when she was struck down with meningitis, leaving her with epilepsy and a complete lifestyle change. This has merely forged her resolve further to succeed within the music industry and to date, STEELE‘s songs have collectively reached over five million plays on streaming services.

‘Looking For You’ is the follow-up to her stunning ballad ‘Temporary Love’, both of which appear on her soon to be released debut album ‘Paroxysm’ on 13th.

New Track: Not There – Zoey Lily (ft. Indigo Svn)

ZOEY LILY‘s previous single ‘Last Goodbye’ was only released in mid April 2018 but has already gathered over 40,000 streams on Spotify within the first few weeks after release. Now the London pop songbird steps out and offers up another pop stunner in the shape of ‘Not There’, released last Friday.

Supported by the likes of BBC Introducing London, TMRW magazine, The Line Of Best Fit and BuzzFeed in the past, Zoey embarks on a virtual trip to Brooklyn, New York (USA), introducing the American rapper Indigo Svn as a featured artist on her latest offering. The two were first brought together when Zoey attended Indigo SVN’s live show at North London’s Nambucca venue earlier this year. Being located in separate parts of the world and without physically meeting again, the track was recorded within a day with Indigo SVN’s contributions being sent from his Brooklyn bedroom studio to Leeds, England.

Now here’s your chance to check out the final production…have a listen to ‘Not There’.
