LARAW‘s latest single, ‘Breakup Tutorial’, is probably one of her rawest material to date. Draped in downtempo pop soundscapes, which builds up to raging emotive guitar riffs, her latest effort chronicles a traumatic breakup which stills resonates with the Canadian singer/songwriter and reaches out to those who lived through the same experience.
More music on the way from this talented contender…but for now, have a listen to ‘Breakup Tutorial’…
Canadian indie pop/dance duo FORCES‘ new single, ‘Step In A Sway’, is the perfect tribute to all those who are first on the dance floor, encouraging others to do the same.
“The song was inspired by a simple drum lesson we gave to a good friend. As she struggled to stay in the groove, the goal was to get her out of her head and into a rhythm where her body danced with the music. Later, as we were writing it, we realized her journey through that lesson – the struggle to get from panic to flow (or ‘sway’ as we call it here) – is a universal one, and it became an exploration of that theme, in both words and music.” – Forces
The accompanied video features lead vocalist, Jess, walking through the city wearing headphones – literally stuck in her head – and finding ‘sway’ in the forest scenes, where her inhibitions melt away through the music.
So it’s time for you to get your groove on and check out ‘Step In A Sway’ below…
With airy soundscapes – or should I say dreamscapes – which eloquently meets layers of alluring backing vocals, it comes to no surprise that AMY PETTY‘s single, ‘Sick Of The Radio’ is met with raving reviews from the Adult Contemporary scene.
Among the mesmerising arrangements, Petty tops it off with her equally alluring vocal performance which comes all soulful and soul-tuggingly gutsy.
‘So Sick of the Radio’ is taken her latest album, ‘The Darkness of Birds’, out now on all major download/streaming sites.
JANOS starts 2020 with brand new single, ‘Sicky/Sticky’ which incorporates elements of the Swedish born/London based artist’s new found love for jazz and soul.
His latest infectious effort has been a huge crowd pleaser at live performances for its uplifting feel good vibe, is the first track to be recorded with a horn section. The big, bold brass sound, along with soulful vocals and funky guitars riffs, creates the ultimate groove-fuelled track.
‘Sicky/Sticky’ – which strongly installs his message of strength and self-empowerment – narrates trying to hide from your worries with drugs and alcohol, while still hoping it’s not too late to reach your dreams.
