UK R&B singer and songwriter CILLA RAIE leads 2022 with her brand new infectious sultry R&B single ‘Longtime’ produced by XVR Blck. Piercing together R&B sounds with a hint of drill, the single gives off a vintage aura with smooth and silky sonic vibes.

Speaking of her newest release, Cilla says: “Longtime was written with such ease and deep into the night, it represents a new era of growth for me. Which is a longtime coming, giving grown woman vibes and stepping into my divine feminine energy, going after what I want with no fear”.

In 2021, Cilla Raie released her ‘Reconnected’ EP which caught the attention of MTV, Wonderland Magazine, BBC 1Xtra, Capital Xtra as well as achieving This is R&B ‘10 R&B artists you should have on your Radar’. The EP peaked at number 2 on the UK Itunes R&B/Soul Album Charts garnering further support from Reprezent, Earmilk and Apple News.

Cilla Raie began recording music at just 14-years-old and takes inspiration from her early influences such as Aaliyah, Toni Braxton and Tamia. During the early stages of her musical journey, Cilla was mentored by super producer DaV-inche (Stormzy, Skepta, Wiley) and manager Jackie Davison MBE (Wayne Hector).

In 2014, Cilla Raie released her first self-titled debut project produced by Sillky (Mabel, Teedra Moses, Craig David) and The Arcade (Doja Cat, Khalid, Migos). She successfully embarked on a national school tour across the UK performing with legislation group UK Music. She also has a unique entrance to the music industry having graduated with a BA honours in Public Relations and a Masters degree scholarship in Music Business Management.

Cilla says: “These experiences I had juggling various part time jobs, being a student and doing music shaped and moulded me into the artist and independent entrepreneur that I am today being an independent artist”.

Her music reveals a deeper message for all: the importance of self-love, reassurance and confidence. 2022 will see the release of yet another exciting Cilla Raie EP supported by Help Musicians/MOBO Awards and Arts.

Continuing to demonstrate why his name is synonymous with the grime scene, D POWER DIESLE unveils his latest masterpiece ‘The March’ with the assistance of Boy Better Know MCs Frisco, Shorty and Lay-Z.

As the Grime scene pioneer teases his long awaited follow up project ‘Graphene 2’, he plans to keep the same high calibre that he delivered in the first project. With Graphene 1’s stand out single ‘Sniper’, featuring Skepta, amassing over 5.2 million collective views as well tracks with guest verses from Wiley, Footsie, Jammz and Grim Sickers, the talented grime MC refuses to miss his shot!

Diesle knows exactly what it takes to make an instant grime classic and uses his proven formula to make sure this track is a head banging anthem. He also continues to offer a platform to new and upcoming talent, via his own label ‘EB Records’, stating “It’s important for vets to guide and show love to the youth, to keep them committed, it motivates them to know that people who have been there before can do it.” After partnering with Deezer and Relentless, the label continues to grow from strength to strength!

Featuring US starlet Tiffany Evans (best known for her singles Promise Ring ft Ciara and Texting My Ex ft T-Pain), the single is an awakening, being ready to embark on a new romantic journey after healing from previous toxic relationships.

Song of the Day: Man Of The Moment – Ransom FA

Ransom FA’s sign out of 2020 is a well-deserved one. A passionate activist in using his platform to pass on opportunities for young Scottish artists, his achievements are a result of his motivation to become a notable black figure in the Scottish music industry and not only inspire but also help to pass on his knowledge. Having built his own studio ‘Ransom HQ’ in Aberdeen to give access to upcoming local musicians, Ransom FA has also completed his own TV show alongside Scunthorpe based rapper F.O.S. on BBC 3 – ‘The Rap Trip’ where the duo travelled the UK to discover and explore the burgeoning Rap communities emerging across Great Britain.

2020 has also seen a slew of releases across YouTube and digital platforms, collaborations, premieres with tastemaker sites Link Up and GRM Daily, support across national radio and celebrated entertainment sites, collaborations with Amazon to grace the pages of Notion magazine and has continued to build his upward spiralling fanbase of over 55,000 followers to go alongside the hundreds of thousands of YouTube views and streams that sit across his online repertoire.
