Hip-Hop Duo Smoothe Hours Drops Brand New Track, ‘Red Room’

An intimate introduction to upcoming debut EP, ‘Darkest Before Dawn’ – set for release later this month – SMOOTHE HOURS‘ afterhours effort, ‘Red Room’, chronicles the first-hand experience of a climactic night, starting with infatuation by a dancer and taking things further by going to a private room, the red lights representing love and passion within the moment.

“We wanted to illustrate the seriousness of love and different aspects of affection, whether in a relationship or single. Sometimes the natural desire for sexual fulfilment outweighs the feeling of love. Sending out an invite to the Red Room can be compared to a mating call which is a primal instinct of human nature” – Smoothe Hours

Song of the Day: Linger – Fred Lessore

London-based songwriter and musician FRED LESSORE – of Anglo – French and Malagasy descent – has released his stunning record ‘Linger’.

‘Linger’ is written from the perspective of a woman facing doubt. Produced by Pete Boxsta Martin (James Arthur, Jessie J), the stirring ballad pulls on the shadows of a past love, confronting the burning question many of us have to ask ourselves: Am I ready to try again?

Speaking on the release Fred says “It took me less than 20 minutes to write and record the demo for ‘Linger’. It was easy to pull inspiration from the strong women in my family; I’ve seen each of them carry their battle scars with grace, dignity and acceptance. At the crossroads of love and loss, ‘Linger’ is a drop in the ocean of what it might take to build a strong woman, and I only hope that I’ve done them justice.”

Whilst recording new music, Fred has been emerging through London’s live circuit, including bookings at Proud Camden & Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club.

Although it’s NOA‘s personal journey, this song also serves as a reminder that we all should live in the moment and fully embrace all beautiful and new experiences.

New Music Video: Pretty Necklace – Laraw

After losing her job, LARAW decided to join the family business – her dad’s garage.

Never the one to pass up on an opportunity, Canadian alt-R&B singer drops the official music video for her brand new single entitled, ‘Pearl Necklace’, also doubles up as a makeshift commercial for her dad’s business.

The three-and-a-half-minute production features the songbird in customised outfits, designed by up and coming designer @ray.anh.tuan. However beyond the quirky attire, the songbird has a very important message in the R&B/trap banger: the people you love will always matter more than money.
