Song of the Day: Boyfriend – Tallia Storm

Housing previous support from DJ’s at BBC 1Xtra, BBC Introducing and Capital Xtra, 23-year-old TALLIA STORM‘s unapologetic new single ‘Boyfriend,’ is a masterclass in R&B-pop melodies, with a blinding bass-line and undulating infectious beat, that is reminiscent of classic 00s R&B. The lyrics are a poignant journey of trouble in young love over an immaculate Ray Michael Jnr production that fuses early 00s R&B, complete with electric guitar figures and trap flavours. With an ethos of self-confidence, saying the things we’re afraid to feel and being a champion of women in music, Tallia is poised to take the world by storm as she continues to chase the fast lane in the UK music scene.

Over the past year Tallia Storm has been working hard at placing herself as household rising star in the UK after being co-signed by Nile Rodgers and spent the start of the year working and writing with the Chic legend himself at the world famous Abbey Road Studios. Best known for being discovered by Sir Elton John at the tender age of 13 years old, 10 years on, Tallia Storm is still fighting to be heard as an independent female made in Scotland, with her fearless attitude and infectious confidence.

Tallia has graced the big screen from starring on E4’s Celebs Go Dating & ITVBe’s Real Housewives of Jersey as well as being one of the UK’s biggest celebrity TikTok’s. Karen Harding Shares Her Declaration Of Self-Love With Single, ‘Strong For You’

Melbourne-based folk-pop singer-songwriter, KAREN HARDING‘s latest declarative single ‘Strong For You’, sets a scene of curiosity and mystery, through the simplicity of the heartfelt tinkling of piano keys and then introduces a layer of fingerpicked guitar. Karen Harding’s alluring vocals immediately drawn us into a melancholic story that of heartbreak which builds up to a sense of hope and promise.

The song can be translated as a declaration of love and a promise to be there with someone special, through the hard times.. to say you’ll be there through thick and thin. Song of the Day: All Your Lovin’ – Nigel Hinds (ft. Zara Sykes

Birmingham (UK) native singer NIGEL HINDS’ single ‘All Your Lovin’’ evokes all those bedtime thoughts for a love interest, over a sensuous soulful groove provided by producer Xtof .The single features a dynamic feature from fellow Birmingham native, rapper Zara Sykes who brings a hip hop flare, reiterating Nigel’s steamy sentiments.

‘All Your Lovin” is taking from Xtof’s Mixtape ‘Damian’, released in June and follows previous track “Ghostin’, which has generated over 50,000 streams on Spotify and received firm support from radio stations across the globe.

Over the past few years, Nigel has been pushing out a string of fresh spins of 90s/noughties soul R&B with Xtof via his label SmokingsForCoolPeople; ‘All Your Lovin’ along with Damian Mixtape cements their burgeoning collaboration.

Singing from the young age of five, Nigel always enjoyed singing and listening to different types of music although his main styles are Gospel, Soul and R&B. He has also been a supporting act for Lemar, Jagged Edge and Basement Jaxx to name a few.

In 2014, Nigel released his debut EP entitled ‘Gotta Get Away’. His smooth falsetto throughout the six track set, demonstrated his prowess as a creditable R&B singer in the UK music scene.

Nigel is currently performing regularly at top music venues around the United Kingdom with Sing Baby Sing, a vocal tribute group to the Stylistics

Rapping/singing since the age of just ten, Zara has worked with Grammy nominated producer, formerly known as Ecks music, as well as collaborating with various artists including KID the Artist, Raju, Cassie Rowe, Soundmasters, Redstarr and Superbamz. She also supported Jay Z & Kanye West’s Watch the Throne (Birmingham LG Arena) Tour in 2012.

In 2014 Zara Sykes received her first official award ‘Inspiring Entertainment & Achievement Award’ by Be Inspired Youth Award in association with Somewhereto and AJN’s Annual Gala.

Her latest single, ‘Excuse Me’, also taking from Xtof’s Mixtape ‘Damian’, was supported by Jacqueline Shepherd on BBC London’s The Scene.

MELOYOUNG‘s single, ‘Today’ is a reminder to break away from the ever-busy schedule and spend some time with that special person, as time is a precious commodity that can’t be brought back!

Produced Robert O’Neal, Meloyoung’s quiet storm joint was recently featured on The Drive on Shade45 with DJ K Yung, broadcasted on SiriusXM.

Meloyoung is on the track to becoming one of top R&b singers and songwriters in his hometown, Minnesota . He creates music that will stand the test of time, for those who have either been in love, looking for love or done with love. Meloyoung also writes music for the world to feel loved, sexy, and beautiful!

Listen to Teon Gibbs’ Single, ‘Easy’, Inspired by True Love.

Hip hop artist TEON GIBBS is quickly becoming one of the most well known voices coming out of Canada. His second soulful single from his own label (100 Collective Records) ‘Easy,’ is inspired by new love – one that has successfully moved from friends to lovers. For Teon, the relationship snapped into place and felt easy.

Teon says of his memerising offering:“‘Easy’ is meant to feel like floating, kind of embodying the joy of a new relationship with someone and trying to hold on to those moments of new love. I developed the drum pattern and then brought in an A-list Team. Falcxne, JT, Jaspa, Jub and Nate from Potatohead People and I created this song off of pure synergy. This genre-bending single feels like a milestone moment in my career growth, and sound exploration. Feel like it gives people a taste of what’s to come next.”

Originally from Botswana, Teon has lived in the UK, South Africa and Angola before settling in Vancouver, Canada. He’s currently working with 3 x Grammy Award winning producer Chin Injeti (whose Grammy wins include: Eminem’s Recovery, Marshall Mathers LP 2 and Lecrae’s Gravity) to perfect his genre-bending soulful trademark – a sound that’s already praised by the likes of Exclaim! and Complex UK.
