Song of the Day: Could It Be – UpSinceYesterday

R &B/hip-hop sensation, UPSINCEYESTERDAY makes his bold debut on the blog, stealing today’s top spot with single ‘Could It Be’.

Melodious and captivating, Upsinceyesterday embraces his hip hop roots, incorporating his artistic influences such as Drake and Kanye West, throughout the track. With harmonies aim to allure the prospective listener, Upsinceyesterday asks throughout the track, ‘Could It Be’ that he could find a ‘passionate relationship in this hectic world’?.

Since his 2017 debut ‘Up Since Yesterday’, Upsinceyesterday has gathered a collection of fresh and passionately artistic tracks to ‘capture people’s ears’. Song of the Day: Taken – Puppy Pound (ft. Kenah)

    Dynamic duo Bichon and Shepherd who make up PUPPY POUND are continuing to make waves with single ‘Taken’, a mid-tempo love number which features budding singer, Kenah.

    The teenage duo originally started as a trio emerging from a talent hunt and made their debut in 2017. The group has since rolled out numerous singles, an EP and music videos, earning them decent recognition. The versatility of their sound makes them appealing to a wide range of listeners. Fusing elements of Afro-pop, Afrobeat, Hip Hop and R&B, Puppy Pound’s distinctive sound is instantly recognisable.

    ‘Taken’, is their first single of the year, and is yet another step towards the release of the duo’s new project which they have revealed in their interviews will be dropped later this year.     Song of the Day: Time Bomb – Yuki Dreams Again

    YUKI DREAMS AGAIN, the grandson of Philadelphia Jazz Icon Charles Biddle, spent the first years of his career producing and writing music for others. He therefore secured song placements with Carnage on his album ‘Battered Bruised & Bloody’ (Mac Miller, Migos & Lil Pump) proving his writing and producing ability among a roster of heavy hitters.

    Yuki’s music is defined by genre-fluid ethos powered by his charismatic vocals, singular sound textures, and storytelling that lean on the roads of self-discovery and the resilience of the human spirit and his single ‘Time Bomb’, fully embodies his signature sound.

    Yuki’s music was recently picked up by TV show Shameless (Showtime) and Good Trouble (Freeform) and Teen Mom (MTV). In the past year, the Montreal artist tackled many goals including modeling for iconic high fashion store Holt Renfrew and producing an album for Toronto artist Anna Sofia. Collaborators for his upcoming EP include mixing engineer Joe Visciano (Frank Ocean, Blood Orange, SZA), Art Director Guillaume Landry (Skyfall, Soran) and Photographer Austin Banks.

    Song of the Day: Inevitability-FYM – Troyman

    Hip hop artist TROYMAN brings some serious heat on today’s top spot with single ‘Inevitability-FYM,’ produced by Tay Keith.

    Born Troy Curry in San Francisco, California, Troyman was raised across the bay in Oakland, where he was introduced to the hip hop sounds of Tupac and other Bay Area heavy hitters. Relocating to the metro Atlanta area, his love of hip hop and witty rhyming skills landed him the opportunity of a lifetime to work with one of today’s most talented and sought-after hip-hop producers in the game, Tay Keith. In an industry where promises are often broken Tay Keith remained true to his word, witnessed by the world during the final episode of Netflix’s “Rhythm + Flow” in which he promised to produce a “tape” on Troyman.

    While collaborating on the highly anticipated ‘Tay Keith’ project, Troyman released the critically acclaimed ‘Godspeed’ album which garnered two music placements with OTE (Overtime Elite) and most notably a placement on HBO Max’s series “Euphoria” Season 2 Soundtrack. Troyman also released a second project during this time period specifically for the ladies entitled, ‘Chocolates and Diamonds,’ which are both currently available for streaming on all platforms.

    Song of the Day: Harder You Fall – Will Ryte

    WILL RYTE is a passionate and energetic Hip-Hop/Melodic Trap artist who strives to share his experiences through music. Based in Toronto, the artist/producer/engineer/guitarist has quickly become known for telling unique stories of his troubled past, including dropping out of high school, and finding himself in and out of incarceration for years. To date, Will has gained over 5 million streams worldwide – amassed entirely independently.

    He displays his vulnerability on ‘Harder You Fall,’ inspired by memories of losing his freedom and how that became a pivotal moment in his life.
